In general chinese people are peaceful law abiding citizens. ALso drinking and drugs is not part of the culture.

I am all for actual freedom of speech BUT I feel Western countries (principally the US) has cynically turned it (freedom of speech and freedom in general) into an ideological pacifier to keep most of its people in check (ironically). Get into a discussion with most Americans about the benefits of living in China and it will end with this person standing on his/her soapbox going "well, at least we have freedom" as they pompously walk away like they just scored a checkmate against Deep Blue. Basically, the whole country can fall apart but as long as they get to see Jon Stewart or John Oliver make fun of politicians (even though it doesn't lead to any significant meaningful change at all), they are living in the "greatest country in the world". 🙄
