i dont know if you got my message or not just a quick message i have been playing arould with OPNsense and after about 20 start overs i think i he it working for the most part .. but i am still stuck on leting me load the server i have open to the WAN locally. i am sure that i have set the port up but i can not find anywhere that tells me AGAIN how to set it for me to login from the LAN

I have been using PF-Sense for Years and after them Playing around with users I've had enough. I am now OpnSence and starting to see how to get all my stuff working again😗 Trying to look at others telling me how to set ports up. no luck at all then I found your video. ( I never post on a video ) that is how much you have help me under stand how to set it up and get the ports working .. The DESTINATION stop me, i thought it was the Lan severs address i never would of though it was the Wan

Why is the port forwarding rule listed as a "linked rule"? What is the rule linked to?

Please help me understand the default rule here: It's listed as a "No redirect" rule, which I read as "whatever other rules are in place in this list, do not accept redirection of 80 and 443 for traffic coming from the LAN". The way it's explained in this video it sounds more like a firewall rule, rather than a anti-port-forward rule. Can someone clarify?

@GetMeTheGeek @ phasedlogix i cannot get ppl to talk to me about opnsense i KNOW im doing this right or it LOOKS right and ppl blow me off i just wanna host some AMP games (server via docker mostly) of video games for my friends so my actual game rig is not in use but my server can just do it has more ram anyway.

i cannot get the data to come in no matter how i set this up can i PLLLLLLLLLLLLLS send somepictures or pick your brain to see what im missing. its drivng me nuts man i just wanna game w my buddy i have nobody irl so im bored and i been stuck here for 3 months im out of ideas.

Thank you for sharing the information! It would be also good if you can share the information more about the Protocol types, advance features, and port range by example you can give.

To remember the difference between block and reject I find it helps to think of it like you are texting someone. If they block you, you get nothing back. If they reject you, that means they actively told you they don't want to talk to you.
