just replayed Hogwarts legacy aaaaaaand the veil looks interestingly similar to the keeper's trial archways.... specifically the one in hogwarts when sebastian helps you go through the libary's restricted section

Could ignotus have given the pensieve to gryffindor when he was head master and told him to spread the lie about it. Because I’m sure if the minister found out about it they would take it. Unless they were told that it cannot leave the grounds of its birth or it’s power shall vanish

What if the veil is actually built after the resurrection stone, as a way to recall the spirit and perhaps try insert it in a body?
Summon them with the stone and have them pass through the veil.

fun thought i had what if the three brothers lived in the same time frame as the founders of Hogwarts. As far as I know Godric's Hollow could have been founded before Hogwarts as the founders were considered the best and brightest of there generation and that is why they founded Hogwarts to teach the younger generations. the 3 brothers could have been the rising generation and had already experimented with creating artifacts if that is the case the youngest brother could have made the Pensieve before Hogwarts was founded and then abandoned it in pursuit of the invisibility cloak. Then the veil was created a few years after the founding. Also my theory is the creation of the stone could be because the second brother's love was the one who tested the veil and her experience was the reason when he brought her back with the stone he was still tormented as she was a remined of his greatest blunder assuming your theory is correct. In any case I think it makes for a great story.

I think it should be the other way around. Ring was first and arch was second created. I think it makes more sense that he created a ring and saw his beloved but she wasn't able to come to him completely, so he made veil as a pathway. But when trying to go through he died, as the tale says that he eventually killed himself, so maybe it was by accident but still it happened because of his obsession with his beloved and inability to be with her as the tale says. Otherwise it makes no sense - he makes the arch and then sends someone else through and kills him and finds out that going through the veil kills you? Sounds more likely that someone so obsessed with his beloved would go through himself as soon as he makes that arch to finally meet her and if he did that then he can't create the ring anymore because he is dead. So ring had to come first.

I interpreted JK Rowling's reference to Hogwarts as meaning that a student (or former student or former professor or founder[Slytherin himself perhaps?]) of Hogwarts created the Veil.

I think the veil does in fact either kill you as you pass through or is a one-way portal (or both), as if neither case were true it likely wouldn't still be in the Department of Mysteries by the time Harry gets there as the mystery as to what it is and does would likely have been solved (unless, of course, the Veil cannot be moved/removed from its current location, in which case the Deparyment of Mysteries was likely built up AROUND the Veil in or to study it, making it the first mystery in the Deparent of Mysteries)

You get killed you go on to the after life which is on the other side of the veil. Theatrically Sirius fell through it but he was already dead. If someone was to run into the veil they would not go through to the other side.

Here's something interesting: The Pensieve is a stone basin, a bowl. Such as the type a Potter would make. Memories are silver and flow like water, Harry's cloak is described as the same.

So, it’s said that death created the hallows, and it makes sense even if it’s the brothers actually creating the items. The elder wand is the most powerful and used to bring death to those opposing the Wanda master, the resurrection stone was created to bring those back from the dead, and the cloak was created to keep you invisible and hide from those who would cause you death. Whether or not death was an entity that created the items, death definitely was the reason for creating the items.

Makes sense but i think it makes more sense if you swap the mirror to being cadmus' first artifact as it would allow him to be with his fiance though only in a very limited way.
Secondly Antioch wanting power creates a way to the other side though it is flawed in that it allows no way to return.
Now if we go deeper you can see these as more stages
So first they create the curses which dont go far enough but do get them a way to their ultimate goal.(the begining of the journey).
They then create the 'pre-Hollows'
Each consists of an aperture individually they arent all that significant but combine them and you have the phases of life and thus death(the bridge)combine the curses with the pre-hallows and you can use the mirror to see what can be done, the pensieve to remember how and (streching here)the veil allows the power to make the hallows perhaps. Then you have the hallows themselves(the destination).
Also gives a nice 3×3 thing which is a popular number matrix in many magical lore systems

This video is a really great brain storm! I think you guys should make an updated video, that kind of dives into the topic of this, and its possible connection to the canon lore introduced in Hogwarts Legacy. I have a hard time believing that the Veil, the Hallows creation, and the ancient magic aren't related to one another on a much deeper level.

Excellent theory. Though the Peverells far predate the Hogwarts founders. Harry descends from Ignotus while Voldy from Cadmus and Salazar. So if the brothers postdate the founders, Harry would also be heir of Slytherin.

You go to great lengths when the more logical answer lays midway. The pevarel brothers didnt made those artifacts they were there before the brothers simply got inspired by them it makes more sense I would even say that it could be that the resurrection stone is made from the stone of the of the arch of the veil and the clock is imbued with the water from the pensive

With the release of hogwarts legacy, we know that hogwarts has probably always been a place with a strange abundance of ancient magic- of course, we learn that Isidora put a literal ball of ancient magic there, but there is still reason to believe that hogwarts has always been a hotspot for not just ancient magic, but magic of all types.

To me the pensieve is more likely connected to the resurrection stone: both people enable people to spend time with people who have died but using different means. That connects the veil to the cloak, which I think makes more sense.

The connections between the Deathly Hallows and Thestrals in this and the Unforgiveable Curses video makes me wonder if Threstrals are like a living Veil or exist somewhere between the world of the living and the other side, multi-dimensional beings or something, I can't think of another example from myth or other franchises but not undead or anything.
Danny Phantom. That's the closest I can think of. Thestral are naturally born half-ghost. If someone hasn't made the connection between halfas and Thestrals in fan works I'm going to be slightly disappointed.
