Best and cleanest display I've ever used. This and the controllers make it worth the purchase for me.

Headsets shouldn’t be for business, it’s entirely fucking useless, a monitor is 1000% less expensive and 1000% more easy to use, meta is a stupid fucking company trying to make vr something it shouldn’t be, mixed reality is for work even though it’s entirely unnecessary other than being a cool gimmick, this isn’t a mixed reality headset though, it’s vr, vr is for games and experiences but they’re trying to sell it without the games and experiences

The people who run Facebook, which is a terrible thing, shouldn’t control vr, the gaming platform shouldn’t be monopolised like meta wants, they’re the apple of VR, making nice looking things for 10x cost of what they’re worth

On release the Quest pro did not seem to be much of an upgrade but after 6 months with it, I have to say it is quite impressive and a big leap as far as comfort and visuals over anything else that I have tried.

the quest pro is a headset made to test functions that r gonna be on quest 3 and see how those hit the market...

I personally do NOT like this headset, This is basically meta quest 2 but with a little more features.
Had a meta quest 2 headset with drift, but it worked with cable link. I refunded it for this headset in this video.
When I played on it for a while, it was all smooth going until I got drift again, but the worst part was that now I had to use AIR link because when I tried plugging in the cable to my headset, it would make the most annoying sound effects for connecting and disconnecting it. I wouldn't be able to play on it anyway because it was probably reconnecting and diconnecting from the PC itself. And then my games were crashing which happened today. Not to mention that wearing it was so uncomfortable. Hell, since it was in shape of goggles, I dropped it because I looked down while playing a game. The controllers would have a hard time to wake up, and the WORST feature on the controllers was turning off when it got too "warm" and I would have to stop playing my game and charge it. Don't get this at all.

I would love to see an update on this review, what has changed in the meantime? And how will tue new Apple hardware push Meta and the developers into using the possibilities the Pro already provides. I mean, eye and face tracking just for a chat?… like really no better use for that so far? Red Matter 2 provided a glimpse, but where are the other apps and games???

hi, i am not very knowledgeable on the whole vr, is this headset able to use for full body tracking?

I picked up a pro yesterday and the brown haze effect in games is really bad. I’ve read that it’s called ips bleed and a lot of users complain about it. Is this due to local dimming not being enabled? I tried games like propagation and it looked so washed out and the dark looked brownish. I’m going to return if if I can’t fix this.

That's cool, can we get a review on the DPVR though? I like the 115 FOV & the size of it, & the fact it flips upward. I'm seeing mixed opinions & misconceptions & need your detailed expertise on that PCVR headset

i really want eyetracking (and i pretty much only play VrChat so keep that in mind) but i currently have a quest 2 (and a fullbody set up so i have base stations too) and i know the vive eye is discontinued and varjo aero has no mic and the other varjo headsets are not available for regular consumers. Based on what you got and know which one would you recommend or would you recommend none of them and wait for indefinite time or is there something worth waiting for already? ive been researching for days now and i just cant seem to get to a conclusion and i dont have unlimited money to throw around so i have to make sure that i get something worth it. I hope you can help me out a little here

Honestly this is a good advancement for vr. It pushes the envelope even just a little bit. Any advancement is good advancement. The improvements on clarity without needing to improve the resolution is amazing and it'll hopefully force other companies to fall in line but as a product on its own? I loath it. The price is ridiculous. Like you said this feels like a beta test for the quest 3. I love the new tracking and lens tech but it feels like what should be the standard for the next standard headset. If they were going to make it this price and make it a "pro". It should've upgraded more of the fundamentals. Those full light blockers should of course be standard and the resolution should've been bumped up even with the new clarity tech. Im glad that on paper it accomodates a wider field of eye spacing and increases the clarity sweet spot. My eyes are fairly sunken and my width is 72-73mm so its really hard to achieve decent clarity on the quest 2 for me.

Thats all the quest pro is for me. Setting a bar for minor improvements to the basics as well as other little advancements that the next generation of consumer and prosumer vr headsets will incorporate. On its own i would not complain so much if it was around $800-900 or so. But as a product on its own its ridiculous.

I would like to see an update review of the Quest Pro after the recent updates and the major price cut. I'm really on the fence of buying it and make eye / face tracking work in VRChat. Some people already seem to do it and it looks amazing!

I'm comfortable to pay that amount of money but before I do that, I want to be sure it's not going to be obsolete by the end of this year. Any insider infos are greatly appreciated...

Hey! I've tried Quest Pro today. My IPD is around 71.5mm. When I adjusted the lenses to that width the rubber around the lenses pushed them back to 69mm. I could not make it stay above 69. I can not find anyone with the same issue online. Can someone try if it works on yours and reply? Maybe an extremely rare hardware defect?

I feel cautious because I've hated everything Meta has done to all the companies it's bought. But no one else is making good inside-out vr headsets. I wish there was an effort to get custom firmware on the Quest products.

Quest Pro is utter trash. Look up, and the lenses are being shoved into your brow-ridge. Move the lenes far enough away, FoV is cut dramatically. Adjust tight enough to look around the cockpit in a dogfight, it creates a headache. Keep it looser, it jiggles everywhere.

The goddamned Rift S had fit absolutely NAILED. Yet Facebook has to absolutely insist on ruining VR headsets.

Returned in less than 24 hours.

There was a price drop for the pro, and I (like many other people) am interested in buying quest pro, how is quest pro doing now?

If there’s any companies paying attention to this, here’s my thoughts. I will take QUALITY over QUANTITY any day of the week. I care only partially if the resolution is good in a headset. It helps but I would rather it runs WELL than look good.

Efficiency, hardware and quality over anything, all the way.

I got mine when it went 400 freaken bucks off! I love it. Of all the so called "reviews" of vr fanatics kept giving it bad reviews, I'm like super confused, because I've been experiencing the opposite of these reviews. I'm am still however, in meh mode of its $1500 price point.
