This is not true, as they use a variable bit rate for there mux.

Interesting video. I have often wondered how MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compare onscreen.

This is not an adequate test when it is not the same resolution on both.

While I believe the difference between MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compression is relatively minor, there is a slight different of the resolution and contrast of MPEG-4 in comparison to MPEG-2. Not major, but definitely noticeable. It will be interesting to know when exactly "7 Digital 4" will relaunch as the new horse racing channel. Possibly in July or August.
