My daughter gave me the Housemaid books - you must read them in order. I couldn’t put it down!!! Read #1 in one day. Just starting the next! Cuts into the stitching time tho🤭
ОтветитьLoved the video today Anna, the biscorno’s are stunning. I vote for the mini Eiffel Tower stitch and the darker green fabric for the T.pot stitch.
ОтветитьThe first one.
ОтветитьThe full coverage Eiffel Tower is my preferred one! I liked your comment about it looking like a postage stamp--maybe you could add a scalloped postage-stamp border to it :)
ОтветитьThink the mini Paris and darker green for the spooky teapot. My daughter and I agree that there are better Poirots than Kenneth Branagh but he is a very good actor. I love Louise Penny 'Gamache' mystery books.
ОтветитьFull coverage Paris. I think it would have a more personal feeling for you. The other one is cute.
ОтветитьAnna, thanks for the visit and your sharing. I vote for the full coverage Paris.
ОтветитьHello, I vote for full coverage Eiffel Tower.😊💛🧡
ОтветитьI think you will have to dye the green fabric darker if you don't find it. I like the Eifel 🗼 tower. Maybe G could bring his guitar and play for you while you stitch.😂. Have fun!
ОтветитьPretty Little Paris, Satsuma Street is my choice.
ОтветитьDarker green for Tiny Modernist. And in therapy, one is encouraged to leave out phrases such as “coulda, shoulda, woulda”. Happy stitches.
ОтветитьAnna, lovely video as always. I have just read Freida McFaddens The Inmate and The Teacher. Both were very good but The Inmate was my favorite.
ОтветитьThanks for the fun video. Have you seen the Franch/Paris design by JBW? It's pretty as well. I also have a book suggestion for you. We read it for our neighborhood book club and it is so good. The title is "Lost Man" by Jane Harper.
ОтветитьThe Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb, is a book to not put down till you're done..........GREAT page turner. It keeps you on the edge of your seat on many levels. I'd rather not say what "levels" those are, because it's something that grows on you and developes page after page. You have to experience it for yourself.
ОтветитьWow, those biscornos are amazing, lots of great ideas. Fox and rabbit makes a dark green fabric, I believe it's called seaweed, and it might look good with that project you want to work on.
ОтветитьThe Eiffel Tower gets my vote,
ОтветитьHi Anna. Eiffel Tower is my pick and the darker green fabric. Love the pattern.
ОтветитьI actually enjoy the different call centers , as long as it’s an occasional occurrence. Through them I’ve “been” to India, Philippines, South Africa, Indonesia…and many other places. Fascinating.
ОтветитьThank you for the visit :). I'm glad to hear that you are using your frame and practicing the two-hand stitch method. I do love when I can stitch with both hands. I think I would look for a darker green for your tiny modernist - I'm sure that with changing thread colors, you could do it on the lighter green but it would have a much different vibe. I like the full coverage, postage stamp looking Paris chart. it's so cute. I haven't read that author yet, but I do love a good mystery! I am not caught up in reading all of them, but have read the first 4-5 of Frank Tallis's Max Liebermann Series set in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century. I love an Agatha Christie! But for something a little edgier, not gory, not full of bad language, I really like these. PBS has turned some of them into 2-part tv shows.
ОтветитьThe tea pot is a very cute chart. Yes, you should find the darker green fabric for contrast.... Or change some colours in the chart😜
Enjoy your stitching and reading.
Greetings from Melaka
I still write checks to my plumber/electrician and my cpap doctor. The only reason I do that is that they are not up to the digital day yet. I chose black fabric for a really bright, cheerful pattern and it looks gorgeous but that black fabric is a burger bear. Love you.
ОтветитьI vote for the Cardinals Street design.
I think I would use the darker green for the Teapot piece.
We are headed for a heat wave this week in WI.
Marilyn
As always I enjoy having my coffee with you! I love the tiny Eiffel Tower stitch, it’s just so darn cute. Prairie Schooler Santas are such great projects. I’m glad you survived the challenges of the two call centers you were dealing with, sometimes so frustrating. The Biscornu finishes are awesome and the 2 samplers are so wonderful. Thanks for sharing and take care!
ОтветитьHi we are in the hot summer time heat 97's here yesterday Saturday' I would do the full color one like it have you got the June yearly crosstich done for this month I'm working on that from Indiana
ОтветитьMajor FOMO here from missing yesterday's gathering at A&T. Thank goodness that my great granddaughter's T-ball tournament is over! ( They did really well!) Now I can plan a trip up to Portland to get in on some of the cross stitch fun with others. Those Biscornu's (sp?) are truly beautiful! XO
ОтветитьI started to say do the smaller Eiffel Tower because you might be able to complete it during the Olympics. But then you showed the Satsuma which I have in my pattern stash, so now I am very torn. But your story of training for running up the tower brings such a personal memory for you that I think that is still what I say. Do the tower.
ОтветитьI always love your jibberjabber🥰. I love your experience with the phone calls to get the address. I love that you were proud of yourself. It is so important to recognize and focus on the positive things in our lives…..less judgement. I love the small cross stitch of just the Eiffel Tower. I also love the Tiny Modernist chart you showed, definitely on the darker green. Sounds like a love a lot of things from your visit today 😄 it is always a pleasure to visit with you!
ОтветитьHi Anna, it's me again. You responded to my previous comment already, so I'm adding another instead of just editing the other one. I found the two BBD Eiffel tower charts. One, "Souvenir of France" is free and if you go to the Geary's Fans of Blackbird Designs site, if you click on their "Chart Inventory" tab, you'll find a PDF and download it. The other one, the stocking, "Souvenir of Paris", unfortunately is out of print. It's in the "Joyeux Noel" book.
ОтветитьHi Anna - what a great FT! I love that pale celadon more than the called for - it's a beautiful colour! I also prefer the small postage stamp first Eiffel Tower - so pretty :) happy stitching
Ответитьdo the mini Paris first -then start the Satuma Paris :) I really want to learn how to stich on linen but I'm just not sure how to.
ОтветитьGreat and fun video…appreciate all of ‘life’s insight’… and always providing a positive spin 😉. I vote for dark green ( one of my favorite colors) and postage stamp Eifel Tower( great memories of all your training to challenge those steps 👍) still have your award from the challenge… somehow apply to your stitch (possibly)
Also; i was intrigued about this lamp you were mentioning… but could not quite understand the name… i will keep searching… thank you.
🪡👍🏽
ОтветитьThe Eiffel Tower mini.
ОтветитьFrieda McFadden is awesome. Start with the number 1 Housemaid though! I love the full coverage option because it will bring back memories of running it! (You really did it? WOW!)
ОтветитьPersonally I much prefer the Satsuma Street Paris X
ОтветитьI love your videos !! Thank u for sharing, I’m from way down south in MS, so I love for u to tell all about your area. I just heard of this book from an author in MS ,The Death Letter, by J. Stephen Beam. U may enjoy it. Because of u, I started watching Ariadne Zurcher and now I’m loving wool work ! Thank u again
Ответить⭐️ ⭐️ love you!
ОтветитьThe Eifel Tower small chart looks best to me.
When we were in Paris we were hurry hurry hurry and that was hard. If we go again we need more time.
Enjoy Sisters
Hi Anna. Thank you for a very interesting episode. Just wanted to let you know I really have enjoyed books by Freida McFadden. The first one I read was The Teacher. It was very good, with lots of surprises to the very end. Also The Housemaid is very good. I think that is the first of the series.
I have been watching you since the pandemic started and you are one of my favorites. Back then I enjoyed watching the episodes when you were filming in your camper. You always make me smile!! Thanks for doing your channels. I enjoy both. 😊
Love the Sppoky Teapot! I vote for the tall Eiffel Tower chart.
ОтветитьToys Anna. Hoops, stands. They’re our toys.
ОтветитьMy daughter just started that book. Sounds interesting and intriguing based on the cover. I’m going to read it after her.
ОтветитьI vote for the traditional Eiffel Tower that's full coverage. Think the Spooky Teapot would look best on the darker green. :-) Can't help you with the mystery/thriller. :-)
Ответитьthe tiny one for the tiny one for the Effeil tower. Love the spooky tea pot, and definitely the darker green. Thanks for the update on the everything.
ОтветитьI like the non full coverage stitch.
ОтветитьAlways fun to listen to your chatter! I think you should do the full coverage mini Eiffel Tower.
ОтветитьJust checked on Google for Freida McFadden Books in Order. Housekeeper is a 3 part series. Sounds like something I would like to try.
ОтветитьRead the books in order. They build off of each other. I do love that olive green with the Halloween stitch. Thanks for your positive sweet voice in my day.
ОтветитьHi Anna, love this episode! First, I'm so excited to hear Beth finished charting your anniversary stitch, I'm gonna have to chat with you or Beth cause I'm gonna need to stitch it for my mom lol. Second, I love that Women of Honor Sampler... adding it to my ever growing list of things I need to stitch. And third, I love both the Paris charts you you got and you can't go wrong with either one. I think I would have to choose Pretty Little Paris as my favorite though.
