I hated the ending to season one I could not stand seeing him back in that cage. I was happy to finally see the stories somewhat tied together in episode 7. I wanted the witches to take over I was not a big fan of the second season and hope the third offers more info on the story line form the first season so I know what happens to the kid (white Henry Weaver)
ОтветитьWhy are we not talking about Annie’s walk ? Lol
ОтветитьOk so even if both stories occur in different dimensions, it still doesn't explain Warden Lacy's letters to Pop and Warden Lacy's wife??
ОтветитьOh yay! Haldol is my favorite!🍨
ОтветитьWhat is the sound bite from at the very beginning of this video? Is it from an old TV show? It's driving me nuts!!! Can anyone help? Thanks!
ОтветитьI wish there had been closure for Chance, Nadia and Abde, they deserved to at least have an ending. Slso, it would have been cool to see a news broadcast regarding the explosions and all the dead people. I wonder why no Sonali people were hypnotized when we know there was a big community of Somali immigrants. Why did they pave over a huge, gaping hole? That's weird.
Ответитьcoming back after 2 years with the hindsight that this show was canceled and it was a shame we didn't get anymore I still wish we got a season 3 and maybe even a season 4 but all good things must come to an end. I simply came back to watch this for the nostalgia after rewatching the show and I'm probably going to go rewatch the show right now again but it'll never be the same. staying up late at night waiting to watch the newest episode and then a day later watching a video that breaks it down in detail. I miss those days.
ОтветитьI think this season—with the whole discussion on people’s moral complexity—might also hint at the origins of the kid. I think his story in season one is true, that he was a normal guy from an alternate dimension that by pure misfortune ended up trapped in another dimension. But because he’s immortal, he had an eternity to learn about and eventually control these supernatural forces. Immorality also made him lose his mind and enter the dark side. So I think the Kid is both good and bad, both a victim and a villain. Any thoughts?
ОтветитьI felt like the real story actually ended with Annie drowns her sister before going on the run. She makes up everything else as she goes. When she gets to Castle Rock she continued the story based on city lore and then “escapes” with the invisible sister in the car and makes it to Colorado where she kills her “again”as an ending to the story. The only reason I thought this was bc the beginning before she kills her father, there is a lot of emphasis placed on Annie’s writing skills and her ability to tell stories.
ОтветитьIn the end, it's a Stephen King story. It's dark, tragic, and twisted. Hollywood has manipulated so many people to desire and accept basic endings where everything gets wrapped up and they know that their hero won. But Annie was never a hero. She didn't lead the charge against the villain or put anything together to stop anything. In fact, she started it. She wasn't even a complete protagonist as her character took a back seat for about half of the season. She was, "Just passing through." As she stated early on. She's also one of the only characters to not really know anything about what's been happening since Ace's resurrection and also doesn't care to as she has a very singular focus.
As for Joy's art. She was drawing things connected to the Angel and settlers before she was hypnotized. Remember? It's how they realized that she was the vessel for their prophet. So, she has some connection to it that probably is still lingering as it's only been a week. Oh, but she didn't hug Annie back the second time. Maybe because she's been hypnotized for for over 24hrs and just stabbed a guy. Oh, well she's being distant and doesn't like ice cream. Maybe because after all the action, everything hit her mentally and she's fucking traumatized. You know, despite all the zombie cult shit she accidentally killed her real mother while saving her older sister that lied to her for her entire life and killed their real father and almost murder/suicided them both while she was an infant. Typical teenage drama, right? The whole point of the "hints" was to show Annie's downward spiral of distrust that Joy was still Joy. The tragedy is really that she didn't live outside a and some days after surviving such an ordeal as the events in Castle Rock because Annie was still Annie. Not a hero, but a passenger that eventually becomes a villain. It's terrible and it makes you feel shitty because Joy was so full of potential life outside the sheltering of her deranged and psychotic sister that sees everything in black and white and used her as a crutch to be someone that she could never be. But that's fucking Stephen King for you and it's why we are so attracted to his stories and inspiration.
Henry Deaver poster!
ОтветитьDumb ending is what killed it, no one wants to see a "team" trying to "rescue" joy for a third season... season 2 was great up to the last episode, last episode was absolutely terrible and out of place.
ОтветитьSo interesting Series tbh❤️❤️❤️i wanted to see S1 cast in S2 too but only That evil kid we got to see Overall Nice story❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьI doubt The Kid is the Crimson King. Spoiler alert
The Crimson King is trapped on a balcony of The Dark Tower so unless this is set before the Dark Tower it can't be him. My money is on him being Walter O'Dim (Flagg)
i was heartbroken when i heard this show was cancelled. i hope that another tv show based on steven king books is created to follow onto this show. this show will remain my fav shows of all time. i will follow bill skarsgård into more tv and movie he has become a fav actor of mine. 💔💔💔😭 📙🌻🌺🌼🍀
Ответитьthank you for your break downs think story I wish this show got continued. will miss it
ОтветитьJoy indeed was Joy. While there are some subtle clues here and there, there's two major clues it indeed was Joy.
1) Simply put, Joy didn't die and get buried in that liquid thing. We've seen throughout the season that's how the process is suppose to work. Her reaction to Annie was likely still trying to shake off the hypnosis.
2) The whole point of the letter was to let Annie realize she made a mistake. If Annie never saw the letter, she would've spent the rest of her life thinking she killed something possessing her daughter and not the real thing.
That said, anyone else like me where I liked the season, but did not like the ending? The character arcs when looking it at a whole was basically reverse Shawshank Redemption.
Where in Shawshank Redemption, Andy Dufresne went to prison for committing murder, then later found redemption he wasn't even seeking when he found out he didn't actually commit the murders he went to prison for.
Here Annie Wilkes and Andy (okay I know Tim Robbins wasn't actually Andy, but dammit he was Andy in my mind) did commit their murders (albeit Annie accidentally), then spent the rest of their lives trying to find redemption for their past mistakes, but in the end neither got it. I mean I can understand why the writers went that way, but dammit that's such a depressing story to put their characters through. Honestly the story is more depressing than Green Mile.
I can understand if the writers felt Andy needing to die since his family was too far gone, but Annie and Joy was the most tragic because not only were they the emotional anchor of season 2, but because Annie's story could've gone full circle if it didn't go reverse Shawshank Redemption. Since we saw back when she was a teen, due to her mom clouding her world views to think the world is just black and white, Annie was unable to understand why people should be allow to get redemption. Only to later on, whether she knew it or not, spent the rest of her life trying to seek redemption. It would've been a lot more bittersweet if Annie finally learned that one thing she couldn't understand and Joy was able to live her life the way she wrote in her letter.
I just finished Season Two and I have a personal theory on why certain people can't hear the Angel's voice. It is established that most of the people in Castle Rock and New Jerusalem are terrible people so I don't think they are worthy of the voice. I think the reason the cast we see don't hear the voice is because they have all been exposed to violent deaths. I think you are on the right path of innocence being what allows people to hear the voice, but it isn't about worthiness. The issue with my theory is the Somali Community seems to hear the voice as well despite their experiences with violent deaths. I have racked my brain trying to explain it but I can't really think why it is stated most of them experienced a shooting war but would hear it if Violent death kills some innocent part of the soul and makes you immune.
ОтветитьHoly cow...I didn't even make the alternate universe connection. That explains why the old cell was so empty compared to when we last saw the kid and why the lock is different between seasons. Also, I think the reason the Haldol didn't take effect is Annie was unaware the Cult swapped out her medications. If she is still using her same supply from Castle Rock, she basically gave Joy a Placebo
ОтветитьIt is a different dimension from the first season. The paint bucket with Lacey’s cig butts is still there when ace goes to the cell. As if the events of the first season never transpired. The only that parallels is Lacey’s death.
ОтветитьI think the kid is connected to ''It'' because, in the first saison, the story insist many times that events happens 27 years after others historics horrors...
ОтветитьUnderrated show.
ОтветитьWant s3 come on
ОтветитьI lost interest
ОтветитьHello Think Story. Could you please reverse the videos of Castle Rock Created Playlist so they start from 1?
Ответить1/10 Boring and trying hard to be ambiguous when it's so crystal clear. Dumb show .Wasted my time .
ОтветитьGreat Season , Shitty Ending.
ОтветитьOne of the greatest endings ever, this show was for people who actually seen Misery and enjoys Stephen King books.
ОтветитьNo season 3, pathetic
ОтветитьThis series has me telling my friends about it
ОтветитьIf I can't have her no one can!
ОтветитьThe characters sucked and I was rooting for the bad guys the whole time. The Misery prequel was good, but none of the Salem's Lot stuff followed logic. Ace also did not die on screen, he was shown standing there next to the house and then nothing. First there's a massive amount of these turned people, then all of a sudden they all perish even tho they're scattered everywhere. Also, blowing up a cave shouldnt really work on the "magic liquid", since its liquid and doesn't blow up like that. The cave itself might've fallen into pieces but its not exactly difficult to start reconstructive work right away. All Ace has to do is return to the rubble, gather the remaining liquid and start again. Also maybe make better choices on who to turn and keep his mouth shut about it.
ОтветитьSo thoughts and theories on the kid and the rest since show is cancelled?
ОтветитьThe Crimson King? Are you mad. It’s Walter/Flagg/The Man In Black/Martin that was/The stranger. He serves the Crimson King
ОтветитьHad to pay $30 for that garbage real dissapointed stephen
ОтветитьThis show is just so dumb due to wokeism.
Neither Annie or Pop has redeaming qualities. They are evil selfcentered narcissists. All descriptions in Kings novellas shows this - yet the woke nonsense in this series has to make them kind people who only reacts to male treatement. So uninteresting. Ruins two great evil caracters.
its not good. i just couldnt get why
Ответитьi didnt like this season i just ended watching the later recaps
ОтветитьI had no idea this was Annie from misery until til I saw the ending and the Paul Sheldon references and the ending
ОтветитьI cannot stand a show that not once but twice leave stuff open ended (unwell anyway sometimes it done fine but this isn’t one of them lol)
ОтветитьJust finished both seasons. It's a shame they didn't continue.
ОтветитьI feel like joy was amity
ОтветитьI wish they hadn't of cancelled the series. I liked it.
ОтветитьI think the kid is the c.k. castle rock is version or the dark tower.
ОтветитьI think the kid didn't age because he was in another dimension just like our Henry giver (the black one) he spent years in the other dimensions without aging and causing the same kind of evil stuffs .
So I think the history of the kid is the real mystery of the show, and unfortunately it's never going to be solved
I'll never look at ice cream the same way again! 🍨 Let me know what you thought about the season below! I love reading theories :)
