When i watch rhe open camera screen my image looks perfect (4K) and when i press record suddenly the colors become washed out.why is this happening?

Help .. my Open Camera app won’t save pictures
I’ve tried clearing the memory and cache with no luck. I even uninstalled the app a couple of times then reloaded it, but still the problem persists.
If I take a picture, I hear the ‘shutter’ sound, but there’s no wee image moving to the bottom right of the screen. The picture is nowhere to be found. Funnily enough though, I can record and save a video.
I have a Nokia 7+ phone

It seems recording video with the onboard camera on an Android phone will produce surround sound emulation with output on 4 speakers (front and back), that is for those with a 5.1 systems. Open Camera will not, or at least I haven’t located a setting to enable. I’ve looked researched this and have only found channel setting for stereo (2 channel), mono, or default. Would you know if this is somehow possible in Open Camera? Thanks!

Thank you for many interesting facts. You just did not touch one thing I was eagerly waiting for - how to switch between different HW cameras since nowadays most phones have in fact a couple of cameras - besides the main one there might a wide-angle camera or a telephoto camera. I suspect the Opencamera app is not capable of switching and is just stuck with the main lens.

BTW one more lesson learned - since I am not a native English speaker as well, I am going to talk more slowly in the future and focus on the pronunciation. :-)
