Recently I accidently installed the PRO on the Home digital License device and it's a cake to get the genuine Home ISO from Windows to activate back, But that last part - I'm not sure why you you'd want to do that LOL 😂😂😂

Oh my goodness may god bless your soul. For some reason my windows deactivated and I was trying to fix the issue for 3 days on end. This video finally solved my Issue after 3 grueling days of looking for fixes. I even contacted microsoft support and this video helped me more than they did. Perfect 10/10 Tutorial. I will mention one thing though, If this does not work for anyone else they need to change the CompositionEdition to Core. Mine was on Enterprise and it kept giving me back windows 10 pro until I changed it to Core. Overall thank you so much. You have saved me so much time. this 3 day journey of endlessly searching for a fix has come. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Amazing video! Thank you brother. I upgraded to Windows 11, hated it. Downgraded to Windows 10 but it went down to Windows 10 Pro. So that's weird and a word of caution to those who don't know about downgrading from 11 to 10 that it seems to go to Pro. This video saved my ass. God bless you.

You can open powershell as administrator and enter this command so you don't have to rename it Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name EditionID -Type String -Value Core;Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name ProductName -Value "Windows 10 Home";Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name CompositionEditionID -Value "Core"

Even microsoft support couldnt do this correctly. Thank you for the help. I originally booted windows pro on my pc but only had a windows 10 home key. The world is right again.

May 2023 Update for those getting Pro after making changes. Along with the 2 changes made in the video, you must also change “CompositionEdition” to Core also. Make sure to do this in both folders mentioned in the video.

Thanks buddy. To answer your puzzled comment as to why anyone would like to downgrade, I had Windows 8.1 Home edition.

I tried to install Windows 10 Pro, it kept wanting to install Home, so I did the tweaks to let me choose Pro, but since my previous version is Licensed for Home, I would have to purchase Pro to get a valid key. As 30 days it would stop working properly without one.

I got windows 10 pro again . followed the setup correctly though

Underneath WOW somthing something. The product name is Enterprise ?? How come>?

Hi, I am currently using a Windows 10 Education provided by my school, and since I'm gradurating soon, they'll remove it by force. My question is, does this tutorial works when I don't own any copy of Windows 10 previously. And is it possible for me to 'revert' from Education to Home... Since this video is about Pro to Home..

purchased a pc with a non activated version of 10 pro and we had an activation code for windows 10 home. need to down grade to home just to have bought and paid for version of windows.

For myself, this is helpful bc I had to reinstall and forgot which my product key was. So downgrading to the version I actually own.

Doesn't work. I try core or home, either way it prompts me to put in a windows 10 home product key. My license is remembered by my motherboard, I don't have access to the actual physical number. I got a new harddrive and they automatically installed windows 10 pro on it, and now I'm just doomed?

Still appears to work, though do keep in mind not to close the registry tab along the way. Should you be prompted with "Windows 10 Pro" in setup, chances are your values changed in one of the fields covered in this video. Changing compositionID as well to Core is also important!

what do i do if i get to the bit where it says ready to install but it says windows 10 pro?
