When do you upgrade your vanilla version armors ? At start or just wait for upgrades for your sets ( that you currently wear )

Original Tigrex stumped me at the time. I didn’t really have a clue on how to properly play the game at the time, but it didn’t stop me powering through and playing every game released in the uk (orig ps2 2004 mh was so damned hard for my 13 year old brain)

I’d never noticed exactly how cold and hard that stare was until you put that ‘powerful sense of dread’ tone under it

Kusha armor got me through for a good while in high rank and early master and now got his master rank stuff and running a mixed set right now

I had full valstrax high rank and didn't upgrade until malzeno. Then I used the comfy malzeno set to farm my damage focused build.

Garangolm waist is completely pointless because you can just use hopping skewers + the spiribird dango. Every spiribird is doubled.

I highly recommend barioth for longsword players especially. 5 crit eye, full quick sheath, partbreaker, and crit draw, as well as a couple slots to play around with make it pretty great

I only bought sunbreak + Rise on release so I went with the Guardian Armor until end of High rank...then went for Barroth full set which is honestly quite a good set. Then for Shagaru Magala and that‘s were I went into some min maxing.

Once I got to Astalos I got his full set and longsword, and smoked everyone all the way to gaismagorm I was surprised how op that set is haha

I got full malzeno in 2 hunts I love gold wire bugs

i did sunbreak with full valstrax armor with no issue whatsoever.

Got to Malzeno in my high rank sets. Should I upgrade now. Haven’t seen any trailers or any spoilers yet

How do I get the malzino weapon? I’ve killed him, and have the mats, but it says I can’t make it

Well, I'm using the immortal hunting horn build for the first two proper hunts, then work on the lance build

This raises a question for me. If you could get an armor set with recovery up, would the recovery up affect the blood rite? because if it could, then that raises the possibilities for new potential immortal sets

Just finish building a full Malzeno armor and made a dual blades build with it.

Had to look at this for a while before I realized I have a 2 Slugger 2 Stamina Thief 2 2-Slot talisman... THAT ARMOR IS GOING TO BE INSANE FOR MY HUNTING HORN

Garangolm's full set is actually quite good as well you get like 6 full set bonuses and literally all of them are good. ON TOP of a crap ton of armor slots.

High Rank Mixed Set > G-Rank Narga > Malzeno (Currently)
Still clearing some Key Quest before I create G-Rank Mixed Set. LOL

I was surprised how far you can go with a high-rank set. I didn't start upgrading until I reached the point of direct replacement (eg: Vaik > Vaik, Anja Coil > Anja Coil, etc.).

Except the purecrystal is in master rank flooded forest I believe

Hmm, I'm having difficulties finding the pure crystal and Meldspar ore. Are you sure that's early stuff? They both say Flooded Forest so I think that's later maybe M2 or M3?

Ingot greaves x
decos: one brace and one grinder

My talisman has two attack and one grinder
decos: one tenderizer and one grinder

If you don’t have a good talisman you could get rid of on of the criticals and replace it with a tenderizer.
