Just wanna echo how hollywood isn't out of original ideas, they've simply heavily invested the majority of their money into existing IP...because that's what people show up for in droves while saving the smaller unknowns for streaming.

That said, thank god A24 continues to make it their mission to keep original cinema alive.

I just watched it. This might be one of the greatest movies i have ever seen. Once it was over, i had the same feeling after i watched the matrix or inception for the first time.

I just finished watching this movie and came here so I'm still under it's spell... it's SPECTACULAR! Everything is so well done... so engrossing... so beautiful, crazy, and emotional. 👍👍❤

The movie presents itself as an ambitious blend of The Matrix, Butterfly Effect and A Wonderful Life. Problem is: Each of these movies does it better in their specific category. Matrix is a better dystopian sci-fi/martial arts movie, Butterfly Effect is a better time travel/muiltiverse what if? movie, and wonderful life delivers a better overall moral message coming out of a comparable premise. Despite of visual creativity and some charming ideas EEAAO falls flat ultimately. It fails to balance and pace its hypercharged, absurd and clunky elements with the dramatic and quiter moments. It's a tonal mess and it fails to come to a satisfying conclusion after a monumental and completely unnecessary running time of 150 minutes.

A Chinese-American immigrant who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. Interesting.

How is a movie about the multiverse and woke culture original? BBT, the Marvel multiverse, Quantum Leap, the worst of the Star Trek Franchise. At least Back to the Future was fun and at the time somewhat original. Just another Hollywood movie involving the populist cult religion formed around string theory and the nihilism that it embraces. Loved the pet rocks and the 2001 A Space Odyssey ape scene throwback. This movie comes across as a good B movie made by Millennial nerds with almost "everything" borrowed from other movies. To compare it to The Matrix (you don't) is ridiculous. The fact that movies such as this and Roma win so many awards is why no one watches award shows anymore.

It seems that you either have to stop reporting to the police or just stop with your adventures cause the police doesn’t seen too kind of you finding stuff they probably hiding something

This movie was absolutely terrible. Stop pretending to like it. Here's a newsflash: being a tormented lesbian went out in the 80's. To all the lesbians out there: Nobody cares that you're a lesbian. So please get over getting over it, whatever it is. It's boring.
I get the message though; be nice to our kids even if they are spoiled narcissistic lesbians, because what they want is all that matters. Cool, whatever...
This got 7 Oscars. Let that sink in.

Think with the laser surgery you saw a different film, cause what I saw was a big steaming heap of 💩... the worst film since sound of music... lost faith in you after this film. It is a terrible film , and the directors blew someone off to get those Oscars. After this , Oscars don't mean 💩anymore.

This is one of the most interesting film I've seen in a long time. I enjoyed it. Eyes were so glued to the screen on what is going to happen next. There are very few movies out there imo where the acting is so top notch. Very weird but interesting watch.

This movie felt like a trip

Wow, at least you were able to actually get through the entire movie. We tried, yet could NOT stand it anymore and stopped watching it...30 minutes in, which isn't like us, as we'd usually watch until the end. Only decided to watch it bc of showtime 7-day trial, so we, being curious © wanted to see what the hype was all about. Beloved actors/actresses and all... still don't get it. It was a hotttttt mess, unoriginal, and trying way too hard landing on such a senseless level. 😅😏

A nihilistic Rick and morty meets the matrix clusterfuck. The movie was completely meaningless by its own admission. In a movie where everything happens, nothing really does. Postmodernism has been a disaster for art in all of its forms. This movie sucked ass hard. 2/10

Stone-scene was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life!

The "award up the ass" fight, for me, and I'm old and have seen a lot of shit, was the funniest scene I have ever watched in a movie. The balls they had to continue to push their comic ideas beyond absurd, beyond no longer funny, to hysterical!!!

This movie really made me feel so many things all at once! It was exciting, I cried, I laughed and I closed my eyes during the papercut scene 😝 When it was done, I really felt like I saw somethibg really cool. Haven’t had that feeling from a movie in a loooong time.
