I oddly got better at heelflips than kickflips

Whenever I try and flick it I can’t. I’ve practiced the motion many times but when I get to it, it won’t flick.

Another problem I have is I try and flick straight off the board. Whenever I try and angle myself to flick off the left side of the nose I can’t. My body won’t let me angle my body to flick off the edge.

Any help or tips would be great!

Got 30 minutes in before I got rained out in the driveway, but the tips to "keep weight over back seat / back truck" and the whole "feel the level out and flick towards center of nose, it will naturally go sideways from way you're standing" made my kickflip attempts much more centered.

Had a few float up to back foot, just working on getting front foot on now.

Better than most trick tips that don't go over weight distribution, that helped a ton from keeping my flip under me & not shooting forward.

I got the flick very quickly but scared to go primo or break my ankle.

I cant get my front foot on for the life of me, im flicking out but it just doesn't work. I can land back foot every time though.

Watched this video last night after about a month of almost kickflipping. Landed a few today! That tip about kicking to the nose of the board and timing my flick was what I was missing! Thank you!

I used to skate for years. Could do a good amount of things, even what at least what we called a preemo, not sure if that's what it's actually called but I could never do a kickflip. Probably for the reasons he's stating here.
