10 POST-APOC GAMES FOR FALLOUT FANS (That Aren't Fallout) Pt. 1 - Caedo's Countdowns

not sure about your list for fallout fans. Most of your choices are totally different type of games that me, a big fallout fan have no interest in. Metro series is definitely good, Farcry, except for Primal, never been a fan. Rage 1 and 2, The division 1 and 2, now those are post apocalyptic interesting games. Horizon zero dawn, Recore, The outer worlds, all very good post apocalyptic games too. And you go for Bastion? Paradise lost? Atom rpg? what the heck is that crap??

I've been playing lots of the "Old World Blues" mod for the game "Hearts of Iron 4". It's an overhaul mod that changes the base game to be set in the Fallout universe. Honestly some of the most fun I've had playing anything Fallout related. If you give it a try, start off by playing the Texas Arms Association, they have a great story.

You Can sneak in stalker! Take a silent pistol. Switch off the lights. Shoot the head-light. Change position. Repeat. Running makes noise. Do not run or jump.

I would have also suggested borderlands series.

Wow! Shootng mutants with money? Why so? They seem to be almost immune to anything but headshots. So Money is for heavily armed humans only. Shotguns, knifes and fire - against the mutants.

Wasteland 3 was by far the best game to come out in 2020. Absolutely wonderful

Far cry new dawn couldve been a game where i couldve been playing longer if it had a 3rd person view

Atom rpg and endzone are not on xbox store. Shame. They looked good

Metro exodus in my opinion is better then fallout 1,2,3, and 4

good old call of pripyat. such an awesome game. but the storyline could be 100 times longer, because it's so much fun :)

Also the people who made Fallout took inspiration from Wasteland 1.

I just wish that were more games like 3 and New Vegas.

Mad Max is the perfect post-apocalyptic game, after Fallout 1 or Metro 2033. I like these three games more than others for their dark tone and seriousness. I specially like Mad Max's endgame, when it goes from brutal to brutally sad.

Want a hinter on finally being able to play 1988 Wasteland?
I have a great way but you must able to sacrifice fun time & mentally up to it.

I found games that were very similar to the Fallout games I played that wasn't mention in this video. 1.Tom Clancy's the Division 1 & 2 , Rage 1 & 2, & Fallout Tactics. I like the Division 1 & 2 games because they were more like Fallout in every way without nuclear war. I like Rage 1 over Rage 2 because it was a much better game than Rage 2 and both are very similar to Fallout. Fallout Tactics is another Fallout game that didn't get much recognition as much as Fallout 1 & 2 got. It wasn't until years later the Fans/Prayers started to recognize this game was just as good as the first two Fallouts. I played Fallout Tactics to the very end & it grows on you. You got use more than one type of vehicle & it had NPC teammates that you could customize and use. Fallout Tactics was a very enjoyable & fun game I love to play over & over again.

BTW you choosed the worst part of the FAR CRY serie :) I would recommend FC4, 5 and 6. Far Cry New Dawn is.... well that did nit go well :)

When I was younger and playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R i Used to grab a bread and stuff it with bologna and just eat that for the day. Like a true Stalker. XD

But, but... these are all (except Wasteland 3, STALKER, and ATOM) mainstream/action games or things that don't seem Fallouty :((( where's Underrail, Wasteland 2, Age of Decadence, or Frostpunk? One should love Underrail, and not spread the Ubisoft disease :(

New Dawn Really? That game is a cancer of post apocalyptic games and does not deserve to be on this list. Therefore should be stricken from the record of you ever mentioning that smelly pile of garbage. Its no wonder Ubisoft is in financial crisis because every game after it were all apocalyptic disasters!

Kenshi is always missing from these kinds lists and that’s a shame because it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played

Surprised Rage and especially Rage 2 wasn’t on here. Considering Mad Max (also from Avalanche and including a similar world) and New Dawn (Rage 2 is the other neon apocalypse open world shooter). Story is bare bones, but basically just to get you out in the world. Combat is addictive and bombastic (with ID Software of Doom fame doing the shooting mechanics, Avalanche using their engine, and Bethesda publishing the game), the open world was a blast to traverse, Ark’s are full of meaningful upgrades. And it’s honestly a great throw on a podcast or something and play kind of game. Just replayed it again recently. Again, story sucks but everything else is really good.

I like how you show some negative and positive points and you still encourage people to get through the game because of "x" plot twists / gameplay / graphics / overall niche.
