What to do?
High spec Toyota Prius PHEV or Mercedes a class PHEV?
i'll focus on the leggy blonde if you dont mind !!!!! nice car aswell !!!
Ответить40% difference in stated fuel economy between the 2 prime trims.(toyota website).......wow...probably better sticking with the 17 inch wheels.
ОтветитьHello,
Good to view your honest opinions on the new Prime. Thank you.
We waited 21 months for our 2024 Prime and "on balance", we are pleased with our choice. As you have pointed out, there are some down sides with the car compared to previous models but, we think those are canceled by the improvements.
I checked what gas costs in Germany just now. Humm, folks here love to complain about fuel costs (especially as our province is a big oil producer), but you guys are paying far more than us. 1.81 Euro per litre, wow, that's $2.68 per L in our currency. Right now, we pay $1.82 L CAD. In buying this (our third Prius but, first PHEV), our aim was to eliminate gas usage as much as possible. And so far, it's working. After two months and over 1,850Km travelled there's still a third of the Dealer's free fill-up in the tank. Not bad !. We will see at least 2,000Km on a single fill-up.
For now, hydro pricing here is reasonable (under .15Kwh), so running in electric mode only gives us an 80+ Km range for less than $ 2.00. As good as the hybrid system in this car is, we'd still use 3.75 L worth of gas to cover 100Km. Call that 3 L for 80Km. That would cost us $5.46 in gas. We seldom exceed 80Km of driving per day so the hydro approach is far more economical for us.
I noticed that your car does not have the trim level designation on the boot lid. Seems outside of NA the model nomenclature is different. Your car has a power boot lid. In Canada, to get that you'd have to pay for the Premium trim level (XSE). And that model would give you the wireless phone charger, yet your car lacks that feature. Also, I notice the car in your video does not have the same rims as you'd find on the upper trims here. Did your car arrive with plastic wheel covers ? Ours did, but, I was amazed to find that under those is a set of nice rims, not the simple stamped steel rims normally found behind plastic hub-caps. Just one of the many odd things this model brings to the market.
My wife and me (with four friends), spent a day in Hamburg last month. Nice place.
Beautiful looking car, will it eventually be available as a self-charger?
ОтветитьDream on folks. Can’t buy one if you want one. Toyota vaporware.
Ответитьit's a well thought-put product and a better option than a pure EV.
ОтветитьThey need to change the dodge dart rear end
ОтветитьTOP DESIGN TOYOTA - BRAVO! 100%
ОтветитьThis car will be a classic and deserves a place in Smithsonian
ОтветитьThe solar roof makes sense when you go to a supermarket in Germany most of them have outdoor parking spaces. In summer you can turn the ac on, to let the vehicle stay cool inside wich is good for passengers as well as the fridgerator goods you buy don't melt down because the car has not turn down in an oven of hell! So you don't loose electric range for cooling in standstill!
ОтветитьThis is really at the sweet spot currently
ОтветитьThere's a request to you. You better do your reviews only in German not in Gerglish please...
ОтветитьAdidas
ОтветитьIf a person don’t have charging infrastructure, why not just by a hybrid (not PHEV or EV)? A PHEV operating in hybrid mode is less efficient than a hybrid if you don’t have the EV mode to offset the inefficiency in hybrid mode.
ОтветитьI like your your thorough reviews, At 11.20 when you have the measuring tape and the back seat has been folded down, it would be interested to know the length, and to see if it folds as one flat surface. This is interesting if you want to carry items home from IKEA or if you want to sleep in the car. It is als interesting to know if the backrest of front passenger seat can be tilted forward. This willl enable the transport of long objects.
ОтветитьEverything looks good.
Prius that looks great and is fast (old one was ugly and super slow).
Great review, vielen dank!
ОтветитьI mean I'd fuck with this
Ответитьwhere is yellow available??? I just bought a 2024 supersonic red because I didn't want black, white or silver.
ОтветитьGreat video Thomas! Did you steal a New York City Taxi 😂
ОтветитьThe problem with the electric cars isn't the capacity of the batteries it is the charging time, until electric cars charging from 0% to 100% in 5' maximum 10' they can not compare with cars with gas with instant fuel fill.
ОтветитьSmaller door entrance offers better protection but watch your heads LOL
ОтветитьInteresting that you have dual zone climate control Here in Canada only single zone.
ОтветитьGreat review! Thank you! I like the new design much better!!
ОтветитьThe Prius is a good looking car now, and I would definitely prefer a PHEV over a fully electric car.
ОтветитьNot for me !It has better design than before but it is too small.
ОтветитьThe moment Chevy said they were discontinuing the Bolt & planned for the Equinov EV to be its successor, I knew. It was inevitable.
ОтветитьThe wipers look optimised for left seat driver, I wonder if they are different for Japan/UK etc
ОтветитьToyota’s build quality has really taken a hit recently. That staple thing is inexcusable
Ответитьor if want want a vehicle with huge range, 600 miles and 46 miles on the ev or 965 km and 74 km on the ev. its a gamechanger imo
ОтветитьWhat about putting 3 child seats at the back ?
Ответитьwell, i think it depends.
for people who dont drive more then 60 miles ~100Km-ish per day, a full elctric car is great. but for people who do drive long distances on almost daily basis, that could be annoying, so for them a plugin hybrid, is the best option.
untill we have reasonably priced cars (not more expensive then a Tesla model Y) with real world 400 miles/ 640km-ish range (NOT WLTP).
That does look amazing
ОтветитьThe new body is super sick prius or not
Ответитьwe need that car in wagon version
ОтветитьI would definatly choose a prius prime over a tesla model 3.
ОтветитьBest indicator sound.
ОтветитьI think you continue to use the word "fluent" where you really mean "fluid" (I'm sure if the review were in German no such fluency issues would arise :) )
ОтветитьTolles Auto, aber 9000 Euro Aufpreis zum Vorgänger ist ziemlich happig.
ОтветитьJapanese cars interiors are so weirdly made...no way I get one of those regardless of reliability
ОтветитьPrius turned from Ugly to Sexy and beautiful 👍❤ Good job Toyota!!! 😁
ОтветитьYou can almost feel the influence of the current Toyota CEO when this car was signed off. It is sporty, powerful (for a compact hybrid), super stylish and loaded with tech. This is what happens when you wrestle the reins off the sickening bean counters into the hands of designers who care about the emotions of the owner.
ОтветитьIf the yellow was available in the U.S., I would have chosen that. Instead, I have it in silver. The design really looks best up close, except for one evening when it happened to be parked in an empty lot as the sun was setting. That brought the design to life and I just stood there from 30 meters away admiring it. And about the driving experience - aside from Toyota's "futuristic" sound during EV mode, I am extremely impressed with the responsiveness and fuel efficiency.
ОтветитьEVs are the future? Sorry. They start out polluting thousands of gallons of water that farmers need. Often slave labor is used in the mining process. They are expensive to operate, use tires up 30-40 % faster and the insurance/repair costs are horrendous.
ОтветитьNothing too terribly attractive at first glance. Prius C was the best-looking Toyota hybrid ever built by far.
Ответитьwho is that woman? MY heart is broken.
ОтветитьDieses Toyota Auto ist von besserer Qualität als ein Tesla. Finanziell ist die Wartung günstiger. Der Prius behält im Falle eines Weiterverkaufs viel Wert
ОтветитьI really like your style of making these videos. its very honest and informative. thank you
