ОтветитьBoxie is a good way to keep control of ram usage. Its a sandbox. Wish windows used sandboxes. Would make it a better operating system.

ОтветитьMerry Christmas From a ten pound Pom and a happy new year.

ОтветитьHi, Thank you for your videos that did in fact help on few occasions. I am subscribed to your channel, but I don't understand this advice of yours to aggressively deny any background services from web browsers? Did you mean that finishing downloads when user shuts the browser is using too much/many Pc resources? I have no idea what did you try to accomplish with this video? Did you just try to tell people using aged hardware to jeopardize their efforts by not allowing their work to be synchronized? Yes, some apps are running even when browser is closed - as intended and as designed, what exactly is your problem with software not ruining someone's work? Let me guess, you just couldn't resist the fearmongering of something not fully controlled running on someone's laptop - the feared Laptops uprising !? You've made many good videos, yet you produced this one, are going through some kind of crisis, or were you drunk? Such a shame, you used to a quality channel. Good luck and get well soon...
Ответитьalready is disable in my browser
Ответитьuse Firefox, Chrome and Edge are just a fancy interface for a data collection scam

ОтветитьI just checked Chrome and running background apps when it is closed, was already set to 'off'
Loaded up Edge, did the same thing and found that background apps were 'on' so switched them 'off'.
I don't use Edge very much anyway.
Good video ... I already option this out, background apps optimizing windows.
Seems everything is on by default, on a fresh install or turned back on after some updates. 🤔
What about in Firefox..
How to disable in Firefox..
🤔
Is there a way to stop background apps on Firefox or does Firefox not do this?
ОтветитьThanks Brian 👍
ОтветитьThank you. All the very best for 2021 🍻
ОтветитьHi Brian, I have and HP Pavillion desktop and it appears to have a 2GB hard disk with 3 partitions, c d e c being the system d wher I put my programs etc now and e which is recovery. Can I enlarge c and reduce d without loosing data or a lot of f*****g about.
ОтветитьJust use Opera GX Gaming Browser, trust me its the best browser youve ever seen...
ОтветитьOnce, I got 80 percent memory usage. I have suffered a lot when I use chrome. Finally in the settings I got this option. Great video as always. Thank you very much😊 But many forgot this option after installing chromium based browsers. 😁
ОтветитьIt would be nice to have an example of why an Edge/Chrome app or extension would need to run in the background if the browser is closed.
ОтветитьI have them turned off but i always suspected that some of the process'es that would be running if left on would be for app readiness so that it launch faster.
Ответитьgetting rid of unwanted background processes ensures a better Windows experience.
ОтветитьDidn't know about THIS, Brian. Thx! I don't use Chrome OR Edge, but Edge IS installed on my PC, thanks to Microsoft, and I had NO IDEA it could be running sh!t even tho I never use it!
