Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered Review

Correction: Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered isn't coming to PC, as noted at the beginning of this video review. It is coming out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X. IGN regrets the error.

Using Shay as an assassin gone templar is a fantastic dynamic that bridged the storylines together by giving us an "outsider pov" of the current and past affairs of both factions at large, in addition to key character motivations across AC3/AC4. Honestly, Rogue is positioned excellently in the storyline and completed the Kenway Saga in the Americas in order for a new storyline to emerge. Rogue will always be the outlier to the franchise and should not be considered its own game and instead a DLC to black flag, that ending scene alone is an iconic cliffhanger that introduces us to Unity.

Empty world? It has loads of content that is actually interesting and fun.
Apart from the obligatory collection tasks that award nothing but 100% completion, it's all fun and worthwhile.
Best missions in the entire series, by the way. So if you haven't played it you should seriously consider doing so.

Buyed this one in 2022 on my series x for 8 bucks - still the only AC game who runs on 60fps with 4k.

Such an awesome piece of a game & the most underrated in AC history.

This is everything that is wrong with the series. Ubisoft could've taken a year polished this up and re-released it to be a successful hit. The problem is they only care about the money.

Syndicate was d last real assassin's Creed origins and odyssey and Valhalla and crhronicals are not real assassin's Creed games

The problem with Rogue was we all expected a revenge of the Sith style game of betrayal manipulation Shaye betrays the assassins and murders them one by one. Instead the assassins are like the bad guys who betrayed Shaye

I’m sorry, but you keep comparing this to origins. That’s a really unfair comparison as first of all, this is a much older game. And second of all, origins is almost a completely different type of game. Another thing, you keep reviewing the actual game, but you should be reviewing the remaster. Compare it to the old version so that we can actually see what the remaster improves upon. This is why ign has never been reliable and we should never trust their reviews above all else.

In all games the free running has always been a problem you make the slightest movement on the analogue stick and it will send you in a random direction away from your path causing alot of premature deaths

Ignore this review. The game is great. The setting is skyrimish with the snow and it absolutely shins with the remaster enhancements. I much prefer the new controls that started with origins, but this is fine. I prefer it to black flag.

I played the original assassins creed and assassins creed 2 and loved them, and am currently playing Valhalla. I can’t stand how long Valhalla takes and all the upgrading and side quests. I want a story that can be followed linearly, hopefully rogue gives me this after I finish Valhalla

Is orogin focused on steath or combat

The comparisons to Origins is a tad bit unfair, seeing as it's a port of a 7th gen console game. By all accounts, people should have expected this to turn out more akin to the ps4 and xbox one ports of Black Flag. It's not exactly feasible to bring the advancements of the newer games to an older one without compromising the original design.

I just got a really cool idea for a video game series that Ubisoft should make, it should be a video game series thats about the Templars in the Assassin's Creed universe. It should be called Templar's Order or Templar's Creed

It's a remaster not a remake, that's why it doesn't have the same mechanics as Origins
