How To Add Twitch Chat to OBS Studio(2023 Guide)

When I downloaded the overlay, all the scenes I had already made disappeared. How do I get everything back?

Does the streamlabs chatbox have any sort of delay on your computer or stream? Since its from another website.

I have a message saying to log in under tools to use Own3d pro chat. any tips?

I went on Docks > Chat and the chat window popped up, but it shows the Own3d page. Did I mess something up? I just want my Twitch menu and Twitch chat to pop up again since they somehow disappeared.

OBS isnt popping up for me it seems like nothing works for me smh

I haven't tested it live on a game yet, but from what I've read, it only shows up in OBS Studio, not overlaid on your game. So, you'll still need 2 monitors to see chat or have to switch back and forth.

What do you do if Streamlabs Chatbox doesn't work?

Hi hopefully u reply to this comment but when I click on docks there is no options for the chat and it ends at the stats dock and I’ve looked at so many vids and all say make sure ur twitch is connected but mine is for sure so just wondering how do I get the option there

How does one enabled BetterTTV emotes using the OWN3D way? I got the chat up but none of the cool emotes

I cannot seem to get this to work on Streamelements via regular chat. The only text that will pop up is from the browser test and not any actual chats.

with 3rd method, does it work with games on full screen mode?

I sure hope you reply to late comments lol I used stream elements and got it to work fine, the issue is I have 2 different Scenes 1 for just chatting and 1 for gaming. The chat box is different in each. I thoooought I created 2 different chat boxes but turns out it just updated the first one I made so now they are both the same. How do i get them to stay different formats? I hope this makes sense.

Hi, I need help. :[ The first method with own3d is working perfectly, it shows up on my stream but my issue is that the chat just stays up on the screen, and I want it to fade away after awhile. Any idea on how to fix that?

absolute legend, was struggling so much to find a chat option that showed 7tv emotes since latest update would only show just the text.. the stream elements option worked like a charm, much appreciated

I tried the streamlabs method and the chat pops up but not the box. I don't get the red outine or anything, chat just kind of appears in the middle of my screen. Any tips? (no I didn't miss a step)

Hello. I'm having trouble with obs. I'm currently running the latest version which is 29.1.3 and I've tried the steps and also turning the browser source hardware acceleration off and on but own3d pro is still not showing. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.
