1 of my favorite TV shows I really wish there was this season 4 I was so excited after season 2 that there was going to be 1⁄3 season I finally watched it and now I am baking for more that is not going to be a season 4 this lady is now sad panda

I hated Josie the whole time but Anne was sweet for defending her

Okay but imagine instead of billy touching Josie he touched Anne and how pissed Gilbert would be when he found out

😭Literally makes me wonder if I would stick up for my biggest bully in school if she was handled so roughly by a boy. Probably. I admire Anne.

I hate this show so much for what they did to the books!!....I felt like I was watching GOT S8 again.
...Acting/Casting/Production/Directing/literally everything ~10/10.....Script=4/10 in S1 and it only gets worse...!!

Its a shame how these issues still exist today.

I always hated Billy, but I used to like Jane up until this scene. She has been Jodie’s friend for years and knows exactly what her brother is like. Yet she takes Billy’s side and tries to turn others as well. Why is Anne, the girl bullied by Josie, the only person standing up for her? Yes she makes a mess of it, but when there is no place to discuss sexual assault or punish it, it has to be carved out.

I love this scene. Especially Amybeth's acting during the last few seconds. Her face expression showed exactly what she would do next. Couple that with the others talking about their parts to write for the Gazette, it's perfect foreshadowing

I completely understand her. Wrong is wrong no matter who does it. You will be confronted on it. Now if I was Anne I would have slapped or hit him. She was so surprised she didn't do anything.

A bit off topic but one day I was with my friend and a guy sexually assaulted her so I went over there for her to fight him and tell him it wasn’t ok and when I came back I had a sprained ankle mean while she was just watching the whole thing it was worth it even though she’s not a good friend

This is one of the best Anne with an e moments, in my opinion, Anne knows that she’s probably not going to be believed by confronting Billy and she also knows that in this era, women were blamed for “trying to get the male’s attention” or “not dressing appropriately” but she didn’t care. She knew in her heart that what Billy did was messed up and she’d rather protect Josie, a girl who ruthlessly bullied her but was also naively blinded by Billy’s advances, than destroy her reputation. Not only that, but going against girls that she thought were her friends by still protecting Josie. I really admire the director of this show for not going in the route that most directors go in with making a character. Anne is a fine example of a role model in a young girls life. Standing up for others even when the whole world is going against you.

Mrs Andrews, I'm sorry to say that your son should be kept indoors most days and that he is unlikely to find employment outside of the immediate family or a wife who will consent to marry him. I'm sure you understand why as you of all people should know that not only does your son give himself airs when he has no right to do so but that he is also an arrogant bully and a liar. If you're family is to keep its good name, you'd be advised either to force him to make a public apology for his disrespectful attitude and actions or will send him away to some place where his bad character is not known. I'm sure you'd not want to be know as the parents who raised a liar.

Anne feels like many will disagree with her idea by how her classmates ignore what she's saying about how unfair it it for Josie that's why she published her aticle without anyone knowing.

I hate Billy more because of what he did to Cole.
