Nvidia DLSS 3 vs DLSS OFF [RTX 4090] | Direct Comparison

right now for mid range pcs you can get a 4060 for only $15 more than the 3060 12gb what is around $322 (converting from uk to usa currency) personally i think its obvious which one to go for with an extra 20% more performance not to consider the less power consumption yes it only have 8gb but really in most games that doesnt matter

So rasterization is pure trash and dlss is required. Ill wait for 5000 series then. :/

For several weeks Ive been trying to decide which laptop should I take, with 3070ti or 4070. Now, looking at all the artifacts created by DLSS 3.0, I think I've made a final desicion, which is, ofc, the 3070ti, also because its way cheaper

There's one very important difference to DLSS3 that you didn't touch on and it's the real game changer.
Frame Generation is done entirely on the GPU and unlike DLSS2, and previous methods, does not require the CPU and so for games where you'd typically see a CPU bottleneck even though DLSS could have given you more frames, DLSS3 will happily generate the AI frames using only the GPU. This is why we're seeing such massive increases in FPS. The CPU doesn't have to work any harder than it would without DLSS turned on and thus the GPU can take over the work of add the frame. This however does come with 2 downsides. The first being that there's an introduction of input lag because the GPU has to wait for the forward frame to be rendered before it can render the AI frame and second, the AI frames are simply there to smooth out the image and will not respond to use input because. This isn't really noticeable when going from say 60 real frames to 120 including interpolated but imagine if you had 15 real frame and used DLSS3 to double it to 30. The game would still only be responding to your inputs at 15fps and so it would certainly feel laggy.

Google or novosy can give me a clear anser. Does dlss increase qualiry or not? If my 4090 is running above 100 fps in 4k native, why turn on dlss? Could someone explain please.

DLSS 3 control the gaming industry programming . no longer hardware war ...

I bought Dying Light 2 on steam for super cheap, and with my 4080 I was getting between 65-90 frames with everything cranked up. But the game was so choppy and blurry in forest areas while moving around even with motion blur off. I had never used DLSS before and decided to try it, It brought the framerate up to 170-180 and its pretty solid there. All of the choppiness and blurriness was gone. The game still looks the same and the only difference I noticed besides the framerate was the render latency went up which is not a big deal.

Nvidia currently has the leading technology when it comes to GPUs. While AMD has become better in terms of performance, they still have some catching up to do to reach Nvidia's level. Nvidia's technology is unmatched, which is why they remain the king of GPUs. As someone who appreciates the power of a good GPU, I really hope that Nvidia continues to produce high-quality GPUs for years to come.
