Is 18:9 the BEST Aspect Ratio for YouTube? – How to Change Aspect Ratio to 18:9 for BETTER Videos

The Panansonic Lumix cameras GH5ii and up has 18:9.

actually 18:9 in 1080p is 2160 x 1080 not1920 x 960

19:9 is better and more common.
Probably even the 19,5:9 is more popular than the 18

And here's me shooting in 2.4:1 😅

So do I have to fill the screen or do I have to fit the screen if whenever I fill the screen my image part is cropped out and when I fit the frame is too small than aspect ratio especially for a short movie competition?

My cell phone is HD+ and the specs say the aspect ratio is 19:9, but it's really 18.9:9, 1512x720. If it was actually 19:9 like they say, it would be 1520x720. So it has 8x720, or 5,760 pixels less than it should. I'll just have to settle for 1,088,640 pixels which is, by the way, 39,552 more pixels on its 5.7" screen than on my 15" laptop. It's only 1,049,088 pixels, at the maximum resolution of 1366x768. I'm not sure exactly how much bigger the screen on the laptop is compared to the phone, but it looks like it's about 830% larger, with nearly 4% fewer pixels than the phone, instead of 830% more pixels. Yes, my laptop does look like s**t. Thanks for asking. 😉I'm not sure what my phone is set to record video at, but the pictures I took are all 16:9 so I assume it's the same. I'll check it after I finish watching the video and see if I can get my pictures and videos both right, or close to the correct ratio. Thanks for making the video.

I facing a problem that aspect ratio 18:9 (1920-960) makes the vertical display is cropped aside , even the horizontal display is quite fit.overall, when I put the my channel logo on my right side on the black bar out of video display,it cropped in vertical, that I found out

I watch YT on a 4:3 iPad and a 16:9 monitor. Phone very seldom and only for brief moments here and there.

This video is the only one that does this properly and rather than scaling the video you use change the Spacial Conform setting. However, when you mention this your end screen is covering the portion of the screen that shows what you are doing.

20:9 is common

i hate new big screen trend

what about 20:9 or 21:9 many phones are using this now

But this will prevent you from adding end screens

I record my videos in 19.5:9, because I often record my cell phone screen, which is this format, but when I record videos with the camera, I usually post in 4.3, to give that feeling vintage, but I'm also going to start recording in other formats to see which one works best for me.
