I had IC simptoms for two years and I cured it with drinking celery juice. It gave my life back. I discovered this information from Medical Medium, basicaly saying that the bladder tissue is sensitive because of portions of thiner scar tissue provoked by some patogens. Deep cleaning/detox is needed to remove at least diminish the level of patogens from bladder. I then bought a juicer and drank all that green celery juice on empty stomach for several weeks, with no high expectation but in the end the simptoms gradually dissapeared.

Gosh I finally figured out I have this after 6 years and always wondered what it was the doctors would do scans on me and say I have nothing I’d try looking for what I thought I had and nothing, until just today and I saw there’s not much of a cure until I just decided to look up these videos and I’m feeling hopeful again

Acupuncture works for me! I started going 2 months ago but then I stopped when I felt no pain. Unfortunately the pain came back after about 3/4 weeks so now I'm going again. This time I think I'll keep going for a few weeks even after the pain has gone. It's expensive but worth it. I've started to take a log of what I eat and drink every day as well as my mood and exercise. This is to see if there are any patterns when I experience pain. I know I will get through this and you can too!

I tried to make an appointment with dr Larissa but I was told she only work with female patients .. I’m a male and I was looking to make an appointment with her , I check her background and it does say she sees male and females patients !! So I don’t understand... i seen different male urologist with no result I was hoping that she could help me with her treatments but I wasn’t able to make any appointment.

Hello I am a 13 year old who has interstitial cystitis for 3-4 years I have tried tubes(can’t remember the actual name of them) acupuncture changing diet and tablets nothing has made any difference I know I’m late but have you got any suggestions

“Psych... “my GYN @ NYP who did my hysterectomy recommended psych and put me on meds .. 4.5 years later I’m just as bad as I was then. I’m now in atlanta and need to find someone. I’m a nurse and I will never ever recommend psych therapy for a physical condition unless the patient has a psych disorder with hallucinations already. You’re an amazing gift to that practice doc! Keep up the good work!

Im going for accupuncture right now I have Sjogrens Syndrome with Intercysitital cystitis. The accupuncturist I see doesn't attach electrodes at all. I go to my urologist for postural tibial nerve stim where my dr puts a needle in my ankle with an electrode and thats been helping with the overactive bladder issue but not with the pain. I told my accupunturist about this and she looked at me like I was crazy. I wish there was a provider where I live that does this like you do.

This is just like the PTNS therapy that urologists will have some IC patients undergo. It is a 12 week process where you do it once a week. They insert the small needle just like she did in the video but only just above the bone in one of your feet, then they attach it to a unit that sends the charge into it. They increase it step by step up until 19 steps to see if you feel the charge coming through. If you don’t they move the needle and you start again. Then you sit for half an hour. They want to see if it helps reduce frequency and urgency. If so, they will consider you to insert a TENS unit inside your body that will do it regularly to help reduce these two problems. Urologists will also recommend this treatment for patients with bladder leakage, I think. Because federal health insurance covers alternative medicine and it is offered by Kaiser Permanente, this is an option for those patients.

I wish there some place like this here in Southern CA. I have had IC for thirty years and I'm disappointed that the same treatment used back in the 80s (Rimso-50, Heparin, Solucortef) is still what I am being treated with. No advancement has been made. I suppose if more men got this it might be more of a priority.....
