4 years later we soon getting 4K OLED 240hz curved 32” monitors

Just 4 years ago, we struggled with the idea of high refresh rate, low response time, color accurate, HDR capable monitors. But in just 4 years, we’ve far surpassed it and pushing it even further. If there’s one thing I can appreciate of the dystopian future we live in, it’s this.

A high refresh rate monitor is worth it, even if you don't have the graphics power to use all FPS, as with vsync off, you will have less screen tearing! E.g. at 45FPS on a 60HZ panel, about 75% of the frames will have a tear, and each tear will be on screen for 1/60hz=16ms. With a 45FPS on a 240Hz display, only 18% of the frames will have a tear and they will be on screen only for 4ms! No adaptive/gsync needed, and you have all the performance and response time benefits off vsync off with way less tearing!
Also just mouse movement and scrolling in windows is more pleasant with a high refresh rate.

I just got a 4k monitor with 144hz refresh rate for my 4090. I'm excited to try it out.

You can play with 60 HZ but you need gsync or adaptive sync. If you don't understand this you will be wasting your money buying a 350hz monitor. I don't think you can run 350 fps smoothly its a myth.

lately, i have had issues where every few seconds both of my monitors will have this very brief pause which honestly affects how i play greatly. how can i fix this?

I got a 144hz it changed my life I used 60hz my whole like then got a 90hz phone then finally 144hz monitor and it feels so good especialy for games like Geometry Dash

Is there going to be any problems if I run a 120hz monitor at 60hz ?
Since I am using many different monitors in different setting, I want all of them to be the same.

I went from 30 to 75…I can never look back now.

The human eye samples the world at a rate of approximately 30 times per second, though it can perceive differences in frame rates on a computer screen up to about 75 fps because the change from one frame to another will take place during some samplings by your eye. If you are getting over 75 fps in a game, you cannot visually detect the difference - you will not be able to visually detect a difference between 80 fps and 180 fps.

If you play geometry dash, your monitor is NEVER fast enough

try downgrade to analog (no ghosting e.g. crt)

Rather, graphics setting and or faster gpu or is the cpu fast enough 😉

Could you do a video of the opposite way. Like, I just bought a really good pc but i have a low hz rate. I believe I saw somewhere that it has a ghost frame that shows. please tell me if im wrong, but i guess ill see when it gets here at the end of the month (5/7/22)(dont respond if past this date please *smile)

The difference between 144 and 240 is huge for me.

The difference between 60 and 120 is super obvious can people really not see that? 120 and 240 is more understandable

I have a problem where my screen has a gray filter/overlay when I set my refresh rate to anything lower than 100. This is annoying when I can't run some games on 100 fps with good graphic settings. Would appreciate if anyone could help me with this, thanks.

If you cant see the difference between 50hz and 144hz then your eyes are closed

There is literally no discernible difference between 60hz and 144hz. If you say otherwise you just bought into the meme and are too afraid to say you were played and wasted a bunch of money.

120 Hz should be an absolute minimum for anything you do on the computer.

funny cuz most of the competitive games does not need expensive hardware to get that 160fps to 240fps lol. you do need a video card but not like you need a 3080ti or 3090 hahaha all you need is just 2060 valorant , dota 2 , etc lol anyone trying to get high fps on single player games is just useless but I guess its just preference. if you want to be a good gamer. play a lot on that game.

Massive difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. Between 120 and 144, not so much. Between 144Hz and 240Hz, somewhat but you gotta look for it. Between 144Hz and 300Hz, a bit more noticeable than 144 and 240, but not as much as you’d think.

Im using a Samsung - UJ59 Series U32J590UQN 32" LED 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor (DisplayPort, HDMI) - Dark Gray/Blue 60 hz for video editing its alright but its not going to cut it im taking it back this weekend. when i am editing the out image in premiere keep blinking in and out

I cant see 144hz on my monitor and I checked everyting changed the display settings swapped cables but still no difference(I can see 144hz because my cousin has one and its a lot smoother).

My monitor running at 60hz and my graphics card is GTX1060 6gb.

If I upgrade to 75hz with 5ms monitor is there any slight difference?
