Can you help me learn how I messed up please? I peeled up my limeline 1/4” tape and my base coat came up!! What did I do wrong?? I used the practice hood panel limeline sells. I skuffed the panel with the 600 grit sponges limeline also sells. I first sprayed Createx hot rod sparkle white, then I sprayed Createx sealer silver. Sanded again with 600, then started laying out pinstripe tape. My 1/4” centerline I peeled off after laying the smaller 1/8” border on either side of the 1/4”. Was i supposed to use the sealer silver first? I’m 100% water base. I did add some 4030 to the mix. Now I have to do the whole panel over again. Please help!!
ОтветитьYou make it look so freakin' effortless!
ОтветитьI thought it looked amazing about half a roll of tape ago but then he brought out the other roll and it just kept getting amazinger.
ОтветитьHow do you remember for the other side
ОтветитьGreat work as always. What silver are you using as your base on these videos?
ОтветитьUh! You forgot to show us the painting which has to do with adding different colors and how you do this?
ОтветитьLike all your work just got some metal flakes from you can’t wait to lay them out thanks keep painting. Been painting for 15 years now wouldn’t Change it for the world love my job have a great day.
ОтветитьLots of good info and a real nice finished tank design. But with all that talent you still can't record a video, without blowing peoples ears out. I'm 63 and care for my 87 yo handicapped mother. I can't sleep due to back injuries, so I wake up at all hours, take my pain and muscle relaxer meds and watch some videos on cool stuff like this. while my meds kick in. It sounds good while someone is talking set at 1/4 volume, but they crank the music up when they stop talking and it sounds like 3/4 volume or more. Doesn't anyone preview there own videos, or maybe they don't care, that the viewer has to either mute the sound or wake everyone in the house up at night, by just watching an art video that sounds like a rock concert.
ОтветитьOk so you lay the tape out. How do you actually paint this? Mask off around your lines and then pull the line tape to paint? I am confused
Ответить👍
Ответить🖐️👌
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьBrother, you've got a good eye and a MILE of patience... nice work
Ответитьdo you use a computer to come up with your designs, or whats your design process?
ОтветитьI don't use lime line tape, when paint gets heavy especially clear it curls up no matter what you do to prevent. Do not purchase use 3m or anything else
ОтветитьWht tape is this
Ответитьadam , im beginer at striping im a weekend warrior in my garage , i keep pulling up my undercoat , i read another comment you mentioned clearing it first ? so is that my problem by not clearing cure 600 then tape? im taping over the color coat before clear .
ОтветитьWhat’s the best was to make a radius without the tape kinking.
Ответитьmakin it look easy my dude . aces
ОтветитьI really like tip two! I never thought to pull the tape into the blade.
ОтветитьMan, dude, you have "The Touch" there's no doubt about that.
Ответитьi’ve got 2Questions for you on tip # 5. whenever you say if you’re not going to go straight to painting use some tape how long of a time window are you referring to? because in my experiences where I’ve left a tape on for longer than a few hours. whenever i remove the tape there were always a few spots that lift the under coat. 2nd question. How long after your flash time do you begin to lay your tape?
ОтветитьBADASS work as always. My question is how do you mirror the other side of the tank?
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video. How do you know if the distance between your pinned lines is all the same width?
ОтветитьHow do you make both sides exactly symmetrical ?
Are there any tips for that ?
I took a fascination in this art style when I impulse bought an old harley. Had Ryan Mcquiston paint my tins, id like to learn myself. I have a good compressor, just need to get a gun, paints and a few random objects to practice.
ОтветитьI wanna ride that old sporty in the background
ОтветитьDo you draw out your projects first or do you just go for it and see what you like?
ОтветитьA pro makes his work look easy
ОтветитьLove your channel! So, you don’t measure or anything? Just eyeball it? Your lines look perfect (I realize this ain’t your first rodeo), but should a noobie be measuring or anything to get it near your quality?
ОтветитьLuv it!
ОтветитьGreat work man. What did you use to creat the honey comb look?
ОтветитьThanks for this. I really really need to practice just eyeballing. When freehand it like that, how do you get the other side to be an exact match? Cool vid.
ОтветитьAdam can't tell you how helpful all your videos are man. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into filming and editing. Incredible quality and its already helped me become a better painter. Bless
ОтветитьThats bad ass like the designs looks like graffiti
ОтветитьSir great video thank you. I'm a street food vendor and I am designing a new cart for next spring. After watching your videos I think it would be cool to paint it something like this. I look forward to sharing pictures with you when it's ready. You make it look so easy I shouldn't have to redo it more than 10 or 15 times, about then you'll see my first? attempt. Keep well.
ОтветитьThe tapping is artwork in itself.
ОтветитьLooks like a lot of patients needed to do that , awesome video thanks for the tips
ОтветитьBeautiful work brother
ОтветитьI'm sorry to say that was a let down no explanation of what type of tape to use vinyl or crepe tape & where to use them , what type of tape for filling sections for different colours eg low tack or high tack how you can detack high tape to make it low tack if you only have high tack what about masking paper there is so much more you could have done to inform your viewers
ОтветитьIs there an "easy way" to copy that side to flip it to the other side? How do you reproduce that artwork on the other side?
ОтветитьAdam , I want you to know you are inspiring. I'm a 20+ year auto painter that recently got into bikes. End of May I finished a memorial paint job for my nephew on his street bob. Followed your water transfer video with the globe and ship. I did a portrait of his mother that passed from cancer when he was young on tank like the ship was done. Did lotis petals, sun rays and lace as a tribute to his mother. Club style bike with quarter fairing.. Unfortunately August 7th we lost him in a accident on the same bike. My life will never be the same. But by watching your videos helps me keep going. And inspired me to test my skills. Painting is what keeps my mind straight. Thank you for the time you take for your videos.
ОтветитьPin that car in the back
ОтветитьGreat designs! Your “eye” measurements seem effortless but look incredibly accurate!
ОтветитьThank you for posting all these tutorials! My friend paints and pin stripes, but watching your videos is giving me the confidence to attempt to paint my new tins for my sportster.
ОтветитьI can't get enough of your videos.
ОтветитьBro you want Assistant?
ОтветитьAwesome work 👍 thankyou for the "how to" vids
ОтветитьHej Adam. Good job man i follow your chanel from sweeden.
