Android 12 Developer Preview 2: What's New in March 2021 Update!

Android update sucked the life out of my phone buggy crappy.. time to switch away from android.

So basically they are bringing more features from Samsung.

Messenger bubble heads are useless...

everything seems to have round corners but the accessibility menu shortcut pop from bottom two fingers swipe doesn't have rounded corners ... looks bad with very sharp top left right edges

I never own an android but TBH I like this video.

i'd personally prefer the slightly lighter black tone in dark mode, not every device has an oled screen anyway

I hate to say that Android is becoming like iOS. Reachability widget selection menu and more. If i want my phone to look like iOS i would buy an IPhone. Not a wanna be iOS.

Lighter dark mode makes sense as the contrast between white text and a pitch black background wont strain your eyes as much. However they really need a pitch black toggle rather than no option at all.

I'd prefer the interface elements were just brought down like in OneUI than a one handed mode you have to activate.

Does anyone use picture in picture? One of those neat ideas you don't end up using. Whenever I've tried it I've not used it long because in a window you aren't concreting on the content.

I think Samsung one UI 3.1 is the stable Android 12. Really resembled interface.

the settings being gray instead of a pure black is better. I am a UX engineer and one of the first concepts we study at university is contrast and its effect on our eyes. Pure black background with pure white text is actually one of the worst UX choices a UX engineer could make. You always want the contrast to not be so harsh!
