One free plugin that’s amazing and probably some of the best synth plugins I’ve come by is The Juno LX V2 demo plugin. It’s everything you need from a synth with an arp and everything and you can even load and save presets. And the sound of the synth just never lets me down for what I need. 11/10 would recommend.

Anyone use the convolution reverb?

I always use t-deesser for electric guitar, cymbals, and vocals but didnt know they had a transient shaper. Good to know. Wouldve been nice to know before i bought another transient designer 🤡

I use the hell out of Chow Tape. You can linearly control the tape speed, and I'll sometimes have it as low as 1.5 ips, which is useful in helping me get the lo-fi sounds I like when I'm checking out no-hit wonder obscure mid 60s garage rock, and I aspire to sound like that for my own 1 and 1/2-chord garage/punk rock songs, lol.
Strangely, I've been unable to dial in "G Sat+" for some reason, which is most definitely due to user error on my part. There's a free saturation plugin called "Vintager Toy", which is simple enough for even me to use, lol, and that one has done absolute magic to tracks in many cases. Good overview. I use ChowTapeModel and it sound very nice.

Fun fact chow tape actually physically models the electromagnetic effects of the tape. The developer has even published some research papers on the topic

sup guys,I wanna be musician and now i m in searching online daw. I found one,this is Amped Studio, is someone hear something about this online daw ? I need to write a music in a browser,and for me i think is the best product, what do you think ?

Jut FYI, Isol8 is not transparent when engaged, even with the filters bypassed. It has a tiny amount of top end distortion/saturation... something that my artist heard on her vocal in the mix print. I was tearing my hair out claiming that nothing had changed from a previous version when I rolled back the latest changes to the previous version settings, and we went back and forth for 2 days. She could hear it only on her iPhone and, when she played it for me on her phone in person I could clearly hear the difference, as well. Come to discover the only difference between the two prints in the end was Isol8 being engaged at the plug-in level on one of them, even though filters were "bypassed." It was audibly different, and I had to acknowledge that she was right. When I removed it, the "zing" went away.

It's a great tool; but it's not 100% transparent.

For MAutoPitch, the Detector-Settings are not to auto-detect the key you are in...
It's what the Plugin uses to DETECT the note you are singing to alter it using the other settings.

All of the Melda Production free plugins are AWESOME

I love CHOW and use it more than my paid-for tape emulators. Voxengo has some pretty amazing free stuff too.

Great list. I've been a bit obsessed with Analog Obsession as I feel my mixes simply got a bit better since I started using them, despite having a bunch of paid plugins I could be using instead. I think it's the simplicity of the hardware-emulated plugins, and possibly the built-in upsampling, though I can't really prove the latter. Thanks!

Someone who doesn't really hear any difference from Techivation De-Esser, I could make you sure guys, it doesn't work. 😂

It shows like a 6db of gain reduction, but I don't hear any sibilant taming. They probably call it "very transparent de-esser" but I call it BS or just a scam.

I've also seen some other channels revealing this plugins unreliable gain reduction meter. Some of them have drove the compression even up to 10-12db of GR, but got just a subtle effect (audible like 2-3db of GR).

The plugin either doesn't target the right frequencies with band selected "high", or it really doesn't do any gain reduction as it shows on the GR meter.

Maybe the paid version does sth, but who knows, free version couldn't impress me to consider buying the paid version.

Hi have recently replaced the Analog Obsession LALA by the even better free UAD LA-2A emulation. Takes more CPU but the sound is perfect.

I have almost all of them but the Codec by Lese and the Audio Modern ones (I didn't those 2 brands). Thanks for sharing.

Very nice lists! Using many of the plugins in the list and they are performing very well in my experience.
