The contractor installed the J channels at the base of the vinyl siding walls on my garage. Is this wrong? I thought the starter strip to hold the vinyl siding in place but also push rainwater out to the ground vs the J-channel is a water trap to install at the base of the wall.
ОтветитьThnx guys
ОтветитьYou almost got it I do it in a way that I can cut it all and put it together on the bench all locked together when I make my 45 cut I leave 2 inches of channel to bend over but I leave the face and just snip off the rolled edge so I can slide it into the other piece witch locks the tap in tightly
ОтветитьVery good and simple video 👍
ОтветитьGreat j channel precise explanation. Thanks so much.
ОтветитьWhat keep water from running behind the siding at the bottom of the j-channel on the sides? . If water runs down the j-channel It's got to come out somewhere.
ОтветитьAfter I cut the first peaceful to length, I used the scrap piece for practice. Very helpful.
ОтветитьThe quickest easiet demonstration yet. Thanks.
ОтветитьNice video, looks easy
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьI've watched him cut that notch out 100 times and I can't get it down! I have the same snips but I game make that turn. It looks like I chewed it off
ОтветитьSo nice
ОтветитьDo your best and caulk the rest lol
ОтветитьThe voice of the guy... sounds like a 50's tv add.
Ответить9ooo
ОтветитьAre the miter cuts out of order?
ОтветитьNot all the information is here. Yes this works for 1" wide J-channel but if you have 2.5" wide you need 5 extra inches not 2 as stated. And the rain tabs and slots are 2.5" each not 1" as stated.
ОтветитьGood job, now I know how that works around my windows
ОтветитьMe siento todo un profesional ya jaja
ОтветитьShouldnt it be 1.5 inches longer than the window considering the j channel face width is 3/4 inch.

ОтветитьOnly problem is that they don't lock together. If you leave an inch & a half or so on the ends & trim the hook off the outter edge, it will slide or snap into the joining piece & lock together.
Like a pro yo!
