Played Doom Eternal on Ps4 first, now playing Doom with a gtx950m laptop. Runs at 60fps with 1366 x 768 resolution. Will finish it one day.
ОтветитьSoo vulkan Is better then.
ОтветитьYo what happened to this guy?
ОтветитьThere is no need to use TSSAA on 4K res =)
ОтветитьWich is best api bro
ОтветитьSteve looks weird without a beard.
Ответитьthis came is just too fast for gamepad user 🤣
ОтветитьThis made my ears bleed.
ОтветитьLOL Reminds me of Betamax vs VHS. Technically Betamax might have been better but VHS won the war.
ОтветитьNvidia 1090 FTW play games in Superb 4K. AMD still laggs behind and has less support.
ОтветитьThis is nice to see - but unless Vulkan is adopted as the standard api for games
it won'tt matter how much performance gain there can be for us to benefit from.
Can I run this game with i5 7400 and a GTX 1050 ti
ОтветитьR9 270?
R9 270x?
AMD Fine Vine... ;-)
ОтветитьAnd a year and a half later we are still almost never using Vulkan or DX12. It’s ridiculous how unwilling publishers are to make engines around Vulkan for both companies.
When you consider how insane the benefits are on consoles, with the big guys Sony and Microsoft using AMD APU’s, Vulkan and DX12 should be driving every new game coming out, not this crap dx12/Vulkan patch ins based on 2007 engines because devs don’t want to invest in a new engine.
We’ve been on dx11 way too long, and with Publishers making billions a quarter (that darn Chinese publisher who’s name is on the tip of my tongue... made over 5 billion last quarter); EA 1.9 billion, T2 1.4b, Activision/Blizzard 3b, and they can’t redesign Frostbite or Crytech around Vulkan? I call bullshit.
It’s sad when a handheld Nintendo Switch which has the gpu power of a gtx 550 ti can run Doom and Wolfenstein better at 1080p than a new high end $1350 usd pc with 1 1080 (non Ti) can run Assasin’s Creed: Origins at 1080p. It’s actually ridiculous.
Build new engines publishers, spend the hundred million, you will save money on ports within two years you fricken “It’s all about profit this quarter” selfish pricks.
Nintendo Switch supports Vulkan baby.
Ответитьas an R9 #80 owner, after i switched to Vulkan without knowing how well the frames differ, i now dont think i need a new video card. But i will still get that RX 580 on ebay at a bargain because how well AMD is working with the Vulkan architecture.
ОтветитьIs this a boon or an indication that AMDs opengl support is bad?
Ответитьwait so if u have a modern amd card (rx 470) i cant use vulcan or i can?
Ответить7790 amd 30,40 fps open gl, i insanely fps low fps with Vulkan
if works for 4,5 cards its useless thing
I like the pace at which you deliver information, thank you! SUB'd
Ответитьnightmare quality for a 960?
ОтветитьIs Vulcan as good as DX12? I'm interested as I'm sticking with Win7 until I die and it isn't supporting DX12. I refuse to be bullied into upgrading to 10 which sucks corporate dick.
ОтветитьIs it just me or do you find it annoying when he reads from a script and talking like a news anchor?
ОтветитьJust got a 1080ti so thought I'd add my results to the list unofficially. Using the in-game performance metrics...
OpenGL: 1440p ultrawide w/ Nightmare graphics on the 1080ti : 70-100fps
Vulkan: 1440p ultrawide w/ Nightmare graphics on the 1080ti : 100-140fps (150fps minimum in 2560x1440p window)
This is a well, WELL optimised game. Nvidia cards seem to be benefiting from Vulkan too, so I don't see how it's turning in AMD's favour ;P
16gb ddr3 G.skill (forget what mhz running at, oh well)
i7-3930k ... yesssss my card is running in pci-e 2.0 mode :((((
Gigabyte Aorus 1080ti (1.4GHz Memory clock | 2 GHz boost clock)
Vulcan is Multi-Platform and is a lot more efficient over DX12. Vulcan comes from AMD's legendary Mantel.
ОтветитьI like this intro better than the new one on your videos.
Ответитьi have a gtx 760m.. fuck
ОтветитьRx 490 promises 70fps at 4k at vulkan........
ОтветитьIf i ever get hired into this, talking about games etc.
I'm probably gonna just turn around, snatch that 1080 and fucking book it lmao.
NVIDIA get your 5H!T together!!!
Ответитьyou have a nice non-monotonic voice. you speak clearly and i can understand each and every word without a problem. have you worked as a radio talk show host?
ОтветитьAmazing what happens when the playing field is leveled
Ответитьisnt vulkan technically a sucsessor to amd's mantle and grabbed by Khronos to be the sucsessor of OGL?
ОтветитьWhile nVIDIA was making Dx 11 & OpenGL games slower on AMD cards by incorporating their shitty Gameworks, AMD stayed silent and worked on something useful to the gamer community. They even donated their Mantle API to Khronos group to make Vulkan.
ОтветитьWhat about R9 295X2? 8D
Ответитьso i can just download the vulkan driver for my graphics card and not have to use the drivers that come in the disk right? as long as my card is supported by the vulkan api? all this stuff is so complicated the learning never stops
Ответитьneed more game using vulkan
Ответитьi have a 960, intel i5 6500 and 16gb ddr4, game runs like ass on medium/low settings 45-60 fps, what is going on?
ОтветитьDirect3D 12 and Vulkan are able to leverage the total compute power of a graphics card much more than Direct3D 11 or OpenGL. NVIDIA designed Fermi for compute and it used a lot of power. With Kepler, NVIDIA split their GPUs into 2 lines, one for compute (GK100 and GK200), and one heavily optimized for Direct3D 11 and OpenGL (all other GKXXX GPUs). With Maxwell, they dropped the compute focused GPUs, they were all graphics focused allowing them massive efficiency gains. With Pascal it seems they've added a bit of compute performance back, but they're still very heavily biased for Direct3D 11 and OpenGL. Meanwhile AMD's GCN has been compute focused the whole time. This is why almost all GCN cards (7 thousand series and later) get much bigger boosts than their NVidia contemporaries. This is also why Fermi cards get a much better boost than Maxwell when switching to Direct3D or Vulkan (the 580 gets nearly a 20% boost switching to Vulkan in Doom).
Ответить3770k 4,6Ghz + Xfx 390X 1130 Mhz on Nightmare 1080p = 156 fps w. Crimson 16.9.1 Hell yeah AMD! I love it
ОтветитьMy HD-7950@1100 with an AMD FX-8350@4800 runs amazing using Vulkan, at least 10 FPS gain, with CPU load dropping to 37% usage average. Two days ago installed on HD7950@1100 with an AMD FX-4300 CPU @ 3900 and graphics are identical, same settings and FPS is 60-80 on High setting. Basically I'm no longer CPU bound and GPU stays at 99% usage as shown in MSI Afterburner. In GTAV a DX11 title all 8 cpu cores are above 90% usage and the GPU never breaks 62% usage. I removed my second crossfire'd HD7950 because each GPU sat at 31% usage and FPS was exactly the same. To a lesser extent I experience the same in Dying Light being CPU bound. Vulkan is simple amazing, AMD rocks again.
ОтветитьNice video , i got no idea why i haven't watched ur video earlier :D Definitely will sub :D
ОтветитьDid people forget that NVidia also supports vulkan? So how exactly is this ONLY in AMD's favor. And how is this a big thing for AMD but not NVidia if they both started using it? It isn't like amd supports it and NVidia doesn't.
Ответитьhere let me save you some time basically the whole video explains and even shows some basic graphs showing nvidia still on top of the trash heap
Ответитьi dont understand where you people get these results, i have a Fury X and i run a z87 with a 4770k stock clocks and on 1440p my fury x tops around 147fps and never goes below 100fps, so i beats 1080 in the game so i really dont know how you got 181 fps for the 1080
ОтветитьI have a FuryX and I7 4790k@3,6ghz and 60-70 FPS at 4k with Vulkan. Maybe AMD optimized their latest Crimson Drivers?
ОтветитьCan someone explain to me? I watched a video of the rx 480 being released and they said the price would be $199.99 but everywhere I look it's $250-$300 wtf happened? (I am new to pc building)
Ответить>OMG! Nvidia is shitting in their paints!<
Come on guys, are you serious? This will not happen.
If (a big if) Vulkan becomes the preferred game api, then Nvidia will evolve.
The fact is, they are leading now and they will fight to continue in this position.
Are you buying a RX 480 now expecting that it becomes a decent card in 2020?
This is ridiculous.
