The do seem to help along with the reflectors. When using both they just feel bulky in the remote. There wasn’t enough gain to justify the awkward weight on the remote so I didn’t use them regularly

That will do literally nothing, the antenna on the remote is for tx to Rx signal and vise versa and it's a linear dipole so no that is just for looks it wont do anything

Yes it boost the signal but still depends on the video link. Once video getting super low bitrate, the rc will cut info failsafe..

It looks like those Yagi-Udo signal boosters are mounted sideways, sending the signal straight up and straight down, into the ground.
