Do you have this in a spreadsheet or document somewhere with brands and months and application rates? I can make my own, but your lawn certainly looks better than mine ha!
ОтветитьThat's about the prettiest yard I've ever seen wish you could recommend someone to do my yard
ОтветитьU can tell u dont grow flowers...most.spring seed go.out in fall. Larksur amni poppy and about 1000 others... even perennials should be planted in fall.
ОтветитьThanks for this. I really wish I could have Tall Fescue in my area, you can keep it green nearly all year. Bermuda seems like a lot of work for only 3 months of nice green lawn.
ОтветитьMy personal notes
January: pre-emergent/clean-up
March: pre-emergent
April: clean-up/scalp to lowest setting
May: fertilizer plus slow release fertilizer and mow constantly. post emergent if needed
June: second fertilizer application/lawn leveling before scorching heat(early june) mowing twice a week
July: mowing twice a week/third fertilizer
August: scalp reset
September: final fertilizer/ pre emergent
October: final mows usually
November: dormant stage most likely
The one caveat of your opinion is that since you use herbicide you are unable to use the grass clippings as ground cover for growing food. Major loss of work/effort/mulch right there!
ОтветитьSeems too chemical intensive. Is this weed killer safe for ground water? I lived in a 300 year old homestead at the foot of mountains, and the grass was relentless and required no watering and no chemicals and grew faster than I would care to mow.. 🤣 Good soil I guess. I have a new yard and it lacks compost and organic nutrients and tends to be dry.
ОтветитьDo you level every year?!
ОтветитьDo you have to apply sand every year? You never get to the point where the lawn is level for a good while?
ОтветитьHow applicable is this to southeastern Pennsylvania? Should I shift my applications to adjust for climate differences?
ОтветитьNow I know why robotic mowers were invented.
ОтветитьI live in north east, which fertilizer should I buy to maintain green grass?
ОтветитьThank you for this, I’m a 21 yo girl and I just got some land that’s going to have to be maintained. I relate to your sigh at the end of the video.
ОтветитьYour video made me tired. I guess nothing worth having is easy. Wish I could make it all concrete or stone.
ОтветитьYou you aerate at all? When?
ОтветитьI like this monthly chores!!
ОтветитьWhere do you suggest I set my dethatcher at?
ОтветитьWhat type of sand is that? I'm in Louisiana and can't get the big yellow bag, which is 70% sand and 30% compost.
ОтветитьPlease don’t follow this if you have a cool season lawn. You don’t need to scalp your cool season lawn.
ОтветитьHi budget lawn ….love the simple basics way to have a good looking lawn! Great content easy to follow steps. plus all the products are easy to find and affordable! My first question is the ratio of the mixing of the 10-10-10 and the pro care organic? My second question is do I weed and feed before scalping or weed and feed afterwards? I always apply a pre emergent in mid February here in north east Georgia! Thanks
ОтветитьThis was a cool video!
ОтветитьPlease do a video on your flower bed. I live in Dallas and i can't get my flower bed looking like that.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this video! It’s so helpful!!
ОтветитьFor anyone needing to add some new seed can we add it between the pre-emergent?
ОтветитьOverseed with rye or tall fescue? Only a few months of green grass sucks.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI love the way you finish the video, I know that sigh - Absolutely splendid video, I am fired up. When would you recommend putting lime on the bermuda lawn?
ОтветитьSo ,so funny at thE end😆
ОтветитьAll in one place .. subscribed !!
ОтветитьSeptember you put fertilizer down and pre emergent? I’m in zone 8b-9a
ОтветитьIt really is this simple. I follow the same process except I don't reel mow or level the entire yard - I keep the HOC at 2". And I do treat for fungus - I am impatient.
ОтветитьHi, I’m a new subscriber and live in north Georgia. I have a small Bermuda lawn that’s been neglected for years and is overtaken with Dallisgrass. I would like to begin routine treatment/maintenance. Would the schedule and products that you described out in this video be appropriate? I’ve read that dallisgrass can be very difficult to eliminate. Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьGreat video, I keep coming back each step of the way. So, how short do you go with the August hoc reset?
ОтветитьThey don’t sell they the weed stop for lawns plus crabgrass preventer in Texas. What else can I use?
ОтветитьLol
ОтветитьWhen do you add grass seed if you need it. I live in York sc. I have tall fescue.
ОтветитьHey sir, I’m a professional sprayer. Here’s what I use:
(Based on 250 gallons)
3.75 bags of urea
166 oz of three some
25oz of boulder
333 oz of colonize is
333 oz of micro sync
40 oz chemstick
Expensive stuff. I don’t use anything I have listed on my lawn. Spectracide weed stop and liquid fertilizer (miracle grow). Takes a couple more applications, but the results are the same. It’s more about when and why, opposed to what. Great vids sir!
What do you think of burning off the dead grass. I don’t live in a neighborhood so no problems there. But I burn off my lawn then go back over it with my mower with mulching attachments to get rid of all the ash. Been doing this for years and have no problems.
ОтветитьI have subscribed and found your info must helpful. I'm located Mt Holly NC. I had lawn service and decided to DIY. I was told to stay from 10x10x10 and stay with slow release N. Using weed and feed and then use slow release fert and in fall do your preemergent. This schedule of treatment is not widely advised. I want to get an understanding with a soil test these products should work without putting out money for product to improve your lawn
ОтветитьGot damn it’s a lot of work haha well I’m already doing it might as well keep going !!!!
ОтветитьI love how americans take care of there lawn, here in europe(belgium) are the most lawns ugly en overgrown
ОтветитьWhat is the reason for the second scalp in August? Is it totally necessary? Love this channel , thank you!
ОтветитьDoing my best to learn all of this information it's great info you are giving out here. I have a section in my yard I have yet to figure out how to get back to normal and it looks like the problem is growing any chance I can send you a couple of pictures of what I got going on and maybe you can help lead me in the right direction?
ОтветитьLove the content! I am currently in a new home with new sod in Charlotte that was laid in November. When is comes to the leveling/sand mix, how much do you get and you do you have how much you need?
ОтветитьAfter 5 weeds of putting weed and feed down I put milorganite down ,10 days later I have a large amount of weeds in lawn. What can I do after 10 days of milorganite to get rid of weeds ? Thanks
ОтветитьMake me wanting a Bermuda lawn ................ maybe LOL take care bud great tips as always
ОтветитьHi from the UK. A really interesting watch. thanks for sharing
ОтветитьWhat rotary mower do you use and recommend? Just moved into a new house like you and need something to mow the new bermuda sod but on a budget. Thank you for the videos!
ОтветитьWhat’s a good budget lawn mower?
ОтветитьWow… this is a beginners guide!?!?!?
