"Retirement, whether superannuation or otherwise". Does otherwise mean resignation?
Can salaried employees after resignation claim partial tax exemption on leave encashment encashment ?

Those who retired on 2022 2023 financial year. Do they will get 25 lac leave encashment limit.

Or only who retired after 1st April 2023 only they are egligible.

They will file return for 2024 2025.assesment year.

Hello , can you please tell leave encashment taxability received during the service and how to treat it as I checked it mentioned that leave encashment received during employment is fully taxable but also there is mentioned about 10E. "Leave Encashment Received During Service: When an employee receives leave encashment while still employed, the entire amount is considered taxable and forms part of their 'Income from Salary.' However, employees can claim tax benefits under Section 89 of the Income Tax Act. To avail of this relief, they need to fill out Form 10E and submit it online through the income tax portal. How it is covered in section 89?

Sir, firstly big thanks for such a precisely made video. Sir I have two questions first one as per my knowledge there are 4 other rules also to be followed while calculating exemption like avg of basic of 10 months, per day salary of about a month and total leave encashment amt. which ever is lowest will be allowed. So any changes on other rules as well..?

Second question any idea on uptill when we can expect that notification to be out ..?

Well explained Sir.
I have a query - earned leave includes Half pay leave also ?
In other words , Exemption will be on total leave encashment at the time of retirement or restricted to only on full pay leave encashment?

Respected Sir...I have a question to you which is not related to the topic of this video..
Sir...in one of your videos you have mentioned that changes between tax slabs are allowed if someone is a salaried person. Now sir...I am a salaried person but I also have capital gain incomes form stock market ( no F&O, no intraday...only long term investing ranging from few months to years) . I have no other income source. Sir, can I switch between income tax slabs. Specially if I choose new tax slabs this year then can I change it in the next year?

Hope you will reply..
