I think Mothra should've been given some special abilities, like relating to some atomic powers. Like in the Toho Mothra Trilogy we saw Mothra having some beams attacking the monsters, so maybe our MV Mothra could've something like the beam type ability which would be effective in a distant combat where she doesn't needs to be too close.

My favorite part about this is that in the end Mothra will probably still manage to kill the Queen Muto either way. Either she kills the Queen in the first fight, or she comes back in her next life with more knowledge and kills her then. Mothra is pretty much the Titan equivalent of a Dark Souls protagonist. It might take twenty or even thirty tries, but she will eventually come back with enough knowledge of how you fight to kill you or wear you down enough to where you just can't keep fighting anymore.

In my personal opinion Mothra can win this even without the silk because all she has to do is fight at the same way a wasp fights a spider edit : I thought of this after writing the first part the Q. Muto has eyes don't look like they have the same field of vision a spider would they seem to be more forward facing so that would also give Mothra the advantage

Mothra can actually using range attacks other than silk shot if only Legendary monsterverse giving her Heisei Mothra abilities like wind pulse by just claping her wings and even ray beam like in Mothra trilogy movie
