Ethanol also destroys aluminum, so it is resulted in the death of many carburetors!

Seeing a theme in several of the stories throughout your excellent vids.....
It seems maybe government does not always think about things before spending money and making laws........

An idea on unintended consequences; look at the effect of western (US) sanctions against Russia agains the economic effects on its exports (I.e. the west subsidizing Chinese oil prices and the effect on grain prices in impoverished countries like Somalia).
Also, by denying Russia, access to the US banking system, it undermined the US dollar as a global Reserve currency.

The entire FDR, Obama, Carter, LBJ, Clinton, and Biden presidencies are completely full of unintended consequences. You can add the Bushes in there too.

For that last one, I get why companies stopped offering child-only policies, but why would it cause parents wait to seek care for their children? 🤔
It seems that if it's not profitable for companies to provide care, then the solution is free public health care.

I had a 1991 Cadillac Deville Touring Sedan, they werent call the "DTS" back then yet. It had a bunch of different things about it, mine especially, it had some prototype stuff on it, the engine was the 4.9liter v8, the book said it got 200hp and 300ft/lbs of torque, but the thing got 25 miles a gallon. I know because the fuel gauge quit working on it after a while. I had to use premium, and I took a job in Wyoming (I live in Indiana) and I cant be sure where I got the gas, but I suspect Wisconsin, and this was in 2005, at the time, Ethanol was being pushed pretty hard, and I remember the signs saying that the gas could contain up to 30% ethanol, but I didnt pay much attention, I figured it was fine.

My car started acting like it was overheating at times, but it wasnt, and it also would start lurching like a belt was slipping or something. I managed to make it to a semi repair shop lol. The guy told me that the ethanol was basically boiling in my gas tank, because it was getting too hot. It was 90 degrees out that day and there was no shade at all and even the breeze felt like an oven, I dont know. It should have been fine I thought. He took a bottle of brake fluid, took the cap off, filled it and added it to my gas tank and my car stopped having problems. I drove it for another 50,000 miles after that and literally had ZERO issues with gas, motor, whatever. Nothing. Strange. I still try to avoid ethanol if I can.

"even al gore admits is was a mistake"
and yet we STILL keep doing it! once the government starts a program it is nearly impossible to undo it. and here people are thinking the government can solve any of their problems...

I think you should start including the party that voted for these "good ideas" but, we all know where most of them come from.

Another issue is that coral won't grow on rubber tires... The "rolling" is not the issue since they were originally tied together, but after a few hurricanes, the connectors broke and the the loose ones started "migrating"...

Some argue that the rise of food prices as a result of subsidized biofuel has triggered the Arab Spring, and a terrible cycle of violence in many countries.

Affirmative Action requires all job applicants reveal their race. Now minorities can be weeded out without having to meet them.
