Please , people- don't get caught up in the brand name. I missed the freewheeling, shoot from the hip days .Taking subjects exactly I happened upon them ,street ,or, concert shoots with my pawnshop jewel,a Nikkormat FTN & 50 mm F2 Nikkor lense.I was consumed by lust for ,satisfied, through acquisition of an almost immaculate Leica M3 body.Purchased at an estate consignment ,paired with a 90mm Summicron- as my new, "normal" lense. I was caught, like deer in headlights, between two friend's opposing philosophies. The first a superb photographer ,devote' of all things "Leitz"but trapped by re- metering, Zone System &meticulous eye for composition & detail. The other ?a scruffy gnome who once actually spat on a lense to wipe it clean .But ,it was the gnome who taught me that "the moment" is more important. As he put it " if the Hindenburg went down in front of you -who cares what brand of camera you happen to own -just get the f...g shot !And a few years late, he would be vindicated by a very unique experience for me (about three choice minutes), one to one, with the late Andre' Kertesz.Who would advise ME, that evening, that "eet ees very important , to make zee mistake". See? Heed what they said.

Ответить"It aint about the lens", continues the trailer with a Mandingo sized lens...
ОтветитьHope its better than the pretentious programme on tv , some of the best photographers iv met were war photographers or natural disasters , others seem really self absorbed selfish ,

ОтветитьYet another great master of "street photography"..............I love his work.
ОтветитьExceptional work!
ОтветитьProfessionals are uses Nikon,like me.
ОтветитьDigital trash.
ОтветитьI am a big fan of this mans work and history. Can I buy a package that gives me all the shows not just his ?
ОтветитьSince he moved to the digital camera his work has become soulless. He needs to go back to shooting 35mm film. Film is more real and has a soul.
ОтветитьGod his photographs are kinda magical
ОтветитьНа Н,С, Хрущева похож))
ОтветитьSteve McCurry is a Nikon type of shooter 😎🤫🕊️ another great example, it's not the camera it's the photographer
ОтветитьYeah. Developing an eye. That's the most important part. :)

ОтветитьTu no eres fotógrafo.
ОтветитьA true master of photography. Easy to make you speechless.
ОтветитьSteve: Why do you reach over to trip the shutter release with the left hand? It doesn't look efficient at all, and it doesn't seem like you have always done that. Is it a disability or a preference?
The class is $170, in case anyone else is curious. It's a lot, but lifetime access is promising.
Can you really teach someone to be at the right place and right time.....SOME OF THIS PICTURES LOOK LIKE PEOPLE ARE ON A POSE. You tell people to do this stand here hey you over there you are going ride your bike when I say go....would that be a fictionalized photo.
ОтветитьDo you go out with very little film or memory cards and one lens .. at a limited focal length ..? Or do you try to get what you can due to those rare moments
Ответить💖💖💖
ОтветитьA lot of people aren't pleased about the Afghan girl photo.
ОтветитьMasterful images, hope he will inspire everyone to get out and shoot. Not for the money but just for the joy of capturing the light, colour, and the moment.
ОтветитьHe is Forrest Gump
ОтветитьSir,
I am not subscribing you chennal because you videos are very few second .
how much is the material and ho many dollars to travel all over the world to find this people and countryside ?
ОтветитьI've been hearing that sentiment "follow your heart/passion" my whole life and I think it's actually really unwise. What I think what we ought to do instead is use our heads. Let your curiosity be provoked, and then lead your passion instead of having your passion lead you. If we let our emotions guide us, then we aren't going to be in the same place for very long and we would almost certainly miss the opportunity for learning something. We should use our heads to think (not our hearts to feel) about what's important to the experience and then figure out the best way to emphasize what defined the experience, and have a written story to go with the photograph. That way we can appeal to the most intelligent part of the human soul by actually showing them, and telling them about, what the world is really like beyond the safety of our walls.
