How did you now what value to use for teh URL that you backed up to and restored from?
What version of SSMS are you suing? I can't get mine, version 18.X, to connect to Azure but I can do it with Azure Data Studio so I know my credentials are good and the connection info is right.

Nice, Jovan one quick question. Do you know if I can restore a database in simple recovery mode from on-premise to Azure MI? I know Azure MI will not support database in simple recovery mode. But will the restoration work? If so, will it convert the database to full recovery mode?

One of our engineer accidentally deleted  Test SQL managed instance on Azure.
Is there any way we can recover databases that were created on that instance?
Recovery service vault wasn't configured as it was a test instance.

When running the restore command an error occurs:
Msg 40510, Level 16, State 1, Line 48
Statement 'RESTORE DATABASE' is not supported in this version of SQL Server.

We have created the master key and credential and confirmed they exist.

Is there a different syntax for restore database for Azure SQL Managed Instance?

Thank you for posting this video.
