Dear sir why do we see chain drives mostly in low torque applications like bicycles and almost none in high torque applications like tanks, trains etc? Why do those have solid shafts and gears mostly? Is there a solid reason? Can we use chain drive to transmit that much power efficiently or are shafts and gears truly better for that?
