I have Sjogren's syndrome and got scleral lenses after coming across another video you did. Fitting takes time. I am getting another right lense since this one is slightly off. I have no problem inserting or removing them. I am excited to find out how I will do. Thank you for this channel. In post lasik and these lenses are amazing for fixing hoa!

Only problem is I have mgd and struggle to wet the lens 😢😢😢 I have hydropeg but the lens feels so plasticky in my eye

I have a question about the scleral lenses. I can see how they would help moisturize the eye underneath the surface of the lens, but it doesn't cover the whole surface, and what about the mousture needed for blinking? Wouldnt that still be a problem?

I've been wearing scleral lenses for the past year , it's changed my life. From wearing glasses for 25 years with every doctor telling me i'll never wear any lense. Having really intense astigmatism and hypertropia. It not only makes my astigmatism magically dissapear but also improves my vision to over 20/20. It is simply amazing.

Can i wear contact lens when i head out in the snowfall? I am new to this and started wearing it.

I have a lot of eye issues, has several procedures for my detached retinas and now have severe dry eyes.
I was fitted for scleral lenses but just can not get them to where they are comfortable to wear. Not once have I had them in and not just wanted to rip my eyeballs out 😔 I tried every songle method out there and can’t get them to work for me, no mstter how much I want them to. I thought there would finally be my joly grail for comfort but I give up. My eyes will always be in pain 😢

I rarely wear mine because they irritate my eyes (surface gets dry) and they get cloudy so quickly 😭

We’ve tried different salines, using eyedrops before putting them in, different materials, I use cequa, and eyelid wipes. Nothing seems to work

Never heard of these. I really dislike wearing glasses and really miss wearing contacts. However, since my eye problems started in 2020, I have not been able to wear contacts.

So, I am new to contacts. I am using Purevision 2 monthly, I wear them about 12-13 hours straight, sometimes 15 hours. It doesn't dry out or cause an itch but is it safe for a prolonged period?

I want to try eye contacts but im not sure if to since i do landscaping and there's alot of debris flying like dust and pieces of grass. I have not gone to the doctor yet but i want to know if anything one reconds eye contacts for landscaping and just doing outside activities were you will be exposed to dust and debris of some sort? Or if i can even wear contacts at all?

I would love your advice on getting a better fit. I have keratoconus and have changed prescription multiple times (about 4 times in 6 months). The contact I have now is the best I’ve had but I still see double at times and always see glare at night. Would you be able to help with a better fit ?

I had a Vivity EDOF lens put in over a year ago. It made my vision worse. Turn out the doctor either put the wrong prescription in or it is a defective lens. At any rate, soon after he performed a YAG Laser telling me this would solve everything. It didn't, and then I found out the lens now can't be removed. I had me other eye done by another doctor. So far that one is okay though not great. If I wear a contact in the botched eye my vision is netter, not so with glasses. Question, do you think this contact would be helpful in correcting my vision? I am at my wits end for getting my vision to work.

Wow contact lenses always bother me I think because of dry eyes… it scares me that they are custom made what if I hate them and I’m out all that money? I seriously need them tho!!! I LOATHE looking thru glasses!!! But have a restriction on driving so that tells you my Rx level. I can’t get vision correction due to dry eyes (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome so you know that? Eyes are 80% collagen! So…. Don’t know if that impact 🤷🏻‍♀️). I am so very interested!! But I probably spend close to that much by the time I upgrade glasses and sunglasses and then if I lose them ugh. But suppose I’d still need back up glasses and contacts. Do these work for astigmatism?

Can sclerals cause sensory feed back issues resulting in less tears being produced or worsen unstable tear film.

My concern is that my dry eye is the worst on the far outsides of the sclera, where the lenses wouldn't cover. The conjunctiva and the area underneath my lower eyelids also get a lot of saponification (soap-like feeling). Regular contacts usually feel decent and make my corneas feel better, but it's the far outsides of the whites of my eyes that still feel the worst, with or without contacts.

For sjogrens syndrome is it really life changing ?

I have been wearing them for 7 months. I had glare and starbursts due to RK surgery. In addition my astigmatism were getting worse making wearing soft lenses more and more difficult. Now I am 20-20 with almost no glare from astigmatism and corneal scaring. In addition, my chronic dry eye disease is now gone. Well worth whatever the price.

I can wear Dailies Total 1 comfortably, but my inner corner of the eye burns the next few days. Can this be prevented with scleral lenses? No other part of the eye shows dryness

I had very dry eyes after PRK surgery. This week I tested the scleral lenses for 4 hours and I liked them. I'm going to go back to my doctor to confirm the purchase. I hope it really helps me. I from Brazil.

I have had something really weird happen on my left eye. Whenever I put on my contact lens my eye starts crying and hurting I tried putting my right eye lens on the left one just to see what happened and the discomfort is just with the left lens. But my eye gets hot and it feels like a scratch is there. I have really looked for any abnormality on the lens but there is literally nothing on it.
What might it be?
Also, if I put my left lens on my right eye it doesn’t make it hurt or cry. It’s like my left eye just doesn’t want that exact lens on it.

I can’t seem to find where you mentioned the allergy eyedrop’s for puffy under eyes.

Took me over a year to get it right and it’s still not perfect. Lasik over corrected and made my cornea too thin. Still I tried a few kinds they all are irritating. Better than nothing

I need some lenses that will cover the redness of my Scleral. Are there any lenses like this in the industry? I need a Snow White Scleral lens that ONLY covers my redness but has an opening for my eyeball to see out of. Does this exist?

Are these a good option for people with MGD, who can't tolerate regular lenses?
