i used to work with somebody who had only ever seen hendry play toward the end of his career and he happened to watch hendy play o sullivan in an old match when hendry was at his peak- he could not believe how good he was- he thought it was commentators exaggerating as hendry is their pal- personally i always thought that hendrys temperament swung it in his favour as to who was the greatest

If I remember correctly Ron use to have problem occasionally with his long potting but has found out with help that when sighting he was slightly off but now he's back playing very good and his long potting is astounding making it very hard to beat him because if he gets into the area around the highest colors he only occasionally misses because his position play is so good you would think that he had pleased it by hand if you didn't get to see the white traveling around the table

Not hard to see why hendry won 7 titles. In his prime he looks like The Terminator. Unfortunately he’s now just a mere shadow of his former self.

Hendry Dominated the sport bursting onto the scene to be the youngest champion ever removing davis and beating every other contender that came along which at that time was stacked with Talent just like federer+woods hendry is the Goat and changed how snooker was played as he said you dont score points playing safe ronnie dominated too but not at the same level of competition and thats the difference.

I'm sitting here thinking this was a clash of the snooker gods the best of the the best at the time,fast forward and ronnie is still a force and standard by which all others aspire to be,he is still feared in the game and still the most entertaining player to ever have picked a cue up.

Hendry man……… 7 world titles in 10 years . Was he that good? Was it decline in competition? And the big question what happened in that man’s life to take the desire away? So good and could have done so much more in snooker. We will never know the true effect fame and wealth have on you until it happens. It effects everyone differently. I would sure love to see hendry find that old style again and see some more epic battles. 🤞 . Thank you for the epic matches and domination hendry hope to see it again
