everything looks really good, honestly lack of trigger discipline.
ОтветитьI'm going to get a new deer rifle and I want something on the shorter side in either 308 or 270. I have shots at deer in our hay meadow anywhere from 70 yards to probably farther than I should shoot at 400 yards. Do any guns come to mind within the $950 dollar range? What's the shortest barrel you would recommend if there is indeed a 400 yd shot I take?
ОтветитьGood video. The scope story in the beginning sounds like bs.
Ответитьhow would you know the speed of the wind?
ОтветитьI think most peoples problem is that 3-9 has been sold as the standard for who knows how long and even at 100 9 power is under performing, now is that cause i shoot alot of prs and we run 18 power alot of the time or more, possible, but is still think the 4-12 or 4-16 should be the real standard for scopes, this isnt grandpa's day where all you could get was a 3-9. Also the ability for a person to level their gun and scope is alot harder than people give it credit, and its pretty hard for most people to do.
ОтветитьHarris bipod doesn't hurt lol
ОтветитьAll that minutia about precision shooting, low and level, chronographs, ballistic apps and the guy wears absolutely no eye protection and has the scope cap covering the objective lens? C'mon bro', some of us actually pay attention.
ОтветитьWhat first focal plane scope has the level inside the reticle view?
Ответить"Cheapest" Bergara B-14 I found was $730. I would bet that is more than the majority of hunters in the US will ever spend on a rifle. Yes that's at the low end of what CAN be spent on a rifle, that doesn't mean it's cheap. Please don't let yourself be carried away by the industry pushing for the constantly moving goalposts. You can still get a very good performing rifle for under $500.
ОтветитьThis guy can drone on, I swear
ОтветитьStop telling beginners 500 rounds is easy. Deers jump and move within the time it takes to hit them. Too many people getting bad hits these days. STOP.
ОтветитьI shoot F-Class, and it always amazes me how easy it is to hit the bullseye at 800 metres...for me 900 is where everything goes horribly wrong. I agree though, a decent rifle, properly set up, with a shooter properly trained, can hit a man sized target at 1,000 yards without too much difficulty.
ОтветитьIf you are just starting out you can save on the range finder and chronograph. Put the money toward a good First focal plane scope (dont need anything fancy) and a standard rifle. Bore sight the weapon, dial it in and with some basic math learn to find range based on the diamiter of the target and you're all set.
ОтветитьHe said a "cheap" Begara😂
Ответитьim sure its nice but those binocs at a 1000 is way too much for me
ОтветитьYou sight your 6.5 in at 100yards? I just got a 6.5x300 weatherby I was told 0 it in at 300 since it shoots flat to 300
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьBoresighting at 100yds? Hmmmmm.......not too sure about that. 20yds max for boresighting. Zero at 100yds.
ОтветитьSon that ant no cheap rifle begara B14r it's over 12 dollars
ОтветитьLooks a whole lot like the Arizona desert. This fall we will be hosting the Cochise county 1000 yard shooting competition. Ifn ya'll are somewhat nearbye I would really like to hear your thoughts.
ОтветитьA very good video, very clear basic information with a entry level rifle, shooting at a what could be called medium long range distance.
I'm trying to achieve the same goals with a Ruger American ranch 5.56 w,/ Bipod, a modest 4x12 scope with a plane crosshair reticle, and GP ammo. I just want a knock around basic gun that when that moment comes I know I can put a shot out there @ possibly 600 yd. So far, I'm shooting solid at 200 yards off the bench. Upgrading to a new trigger, going to shoot from the prone and see if it helps.
I’m impressed with the follow up on the defective scope explanation at the beginning.
ОтветитьYou must wake up or go bankrupt.stupid ..😢😅
Ответить5 shot group is a lot better .... won't let you down ...
ОтветитьStop New World Order
🎉1776🎉
I can see where one could derive lots of joy from shooting a long distance
ОтветитьThis is cool and makes me want to go "send it", diggin those rangefinder binos, 12 hunnion? guess I'll have to walk it off
ОтветитьHow much did they pay you😅
Ответитьi noticed that you removed the picatinny rail what scope rings did you use to directly mount to the rifle
ОтветитьWho makes the rings?
ОтветитьThat is some great shooting
I've shot out to 345, 450 and 550 with 1st shot hits...then to 700 yards this weekend for the first time ...took me 5 trys to hit at 700 yards
Hitting the target at 500 yards is easy IF the wind isn't howling at a right angle. Need a kestrel to get the wind velocity and that's the skinny.
ОтветитьI can not get the app to work and Hornady does not want to help so looking for a different app
Ответитьyopu are putting me to sleep
ОтветитьHere’s what is ALWAYs problematic about hunting at mid to long range: wind and slope. I’m a US Distinguished Rifleman and Military Rifle Instructor and I can tell all that getting correct favor for wind and compensation for slope are sometimes too difficult to be sure of a good first round hit. Now, add poor trigger control and/or sight misalignment and things can go bad, very bad. At any rate, when you can, stalk instead of shooting long.
ОтветитьI have always tried to keep scopes as low as possible. I bought an AR-15 about a year ago and dislike it for this reason. Not a good time shooting. O well there went $1,000.
ОтветитьWOW. A company that has an employee that would send a returned product to a you tuber to be reviewed. Mind boggling and all the reason I would need to never buy their brand.
ОтветитьGood Job
ОтветитьI'm probably way late on this concerning the Labradar; however here goes. I had the Labradar frustrations which are common including, and mainly, the triggering. I purchaced a the air rifle inertial trigger that I can tape to the stock, scope, or anywhere basically, and the triggering is a never miss event. It is sensitive, so if the bolt is worked too aggressively, it triggers and that must be cleared before continuing. I took my hints from F-Class John who went through the full range of Labradar frustration. Nothing on my barrel to affect its "tune"!
ОтветитьHave you made a video on the breaking in of a brand new gun?
ОтветитьLabRadar accepts a secondary trigger input that attaches to the rifle. This is fail safe. Inexpensive too!
ОтветитьSoo...
Where does one order a steel plate chicken for target practice?
LoL!
Been learning distance shooting, and all of these are great 'double checks' that I have to go thru.
Thank you for your content!
what brand of scope mounts did u use on the bagara
ОтветитьAwesome
