Persona 5 has Problems

I used Izanagi no-ikami picaro from the start. Why you may ask? Simple. I play for the story, not gameplay (yes, i know i'm weird for that)

Literally no one is forcing you to use dlc personas and yoy can increase difficulty to match up for dlc ones if you do use them

The only persona I used from the dlc was kaguya picaro since kaguya was my main persona in p4g. Plus she wasn't as proken as the other dlc personas

I don't know why you are saying DLC personas plural. There are only a few DLC personas that break the game, and the main one is, of course, Izanagi no Okami/ picaro, but hey, I love destroying everything in my pass and so did you. Confidants are probably unbalanced because they're for different situations, and some of them are harder than others to finish.

I'd argue the DLC personas are fine. 1. The picaro versions look dope. 2. Just don't use them till you're the lvl to summon them, if you "want the game to be challenging." 3. They are great for people like me who just wanted to see the story bits that weren't in the original. Yes, you could argue that I could of just watched a stream, but then it wouldn't be me making choices that ultimately didn't matter.

Persona 5 problems for me is how much of a cluster fuck is the police scene is, especially when you start to think too much of that part it makes you wonder how did all the police behave in this scene despite they just got randomly token into a random dimension that's clearly not their dimension by high schooler boy.
Like none of them has a existential crisis learning the existence of another dimension and they did not bother to question this fact like I mean they don't even have a slight curiosity of questioning how did the phantom thieves manage to mess with people without touching them.
What's even more concerning is in the interrogation scene they don't show any fear to a person that you should be questioning how did you mentally break people without touching them like it's kind of like the Kingdom hearts 3 problem of villains not taking Sora seriously despite him managing the kill them a few times.

That's how you make people feel like an NPC is when they don't have a slight hint of fear of a person that's clearly has supernatural properties, but there's no fear that what if the so-called phantom thief leader can do the mind break towards the interrogator.

But yeah I am just so obsessed this flawed plot point questioning how the fuck that supposed to work?

the moment i've unlocked the option to buy dlc personas. i used izanagi no okami pic. & abuse his myriad truths ability all game & kept buying personas over n over to lvl the persona to 99. then for the other izanagi no okami i added different moves n got him on 99. i also have this crow holding a lantern for a persona n gave it good support abilites. when i got makoto i ran Ryuji, Makoto & Morgana kuz they're good to set on your team. once i got Akechi i've replaced Ryuji for Akechi. added the 15% xp boost equipment to lvl up myself faster. i felt like a true god. tbh i only died to the reaper kuz i didn't understood how op he was & i died to the twins on a new game+ but made it far to get the 50% xp bonus equipment. dat joint even helped my run even quicker

Man, I USED FUCKIN ARSENE, and like 3 other from battles and all other stock for confidants, and now I came to realize they are DLC personas ?????

I learned this fact before I played P5 Royal so I made a rule where I can
1. Choose ONE DLC persona
2. DLC Persona of my choice must match my current level (no lvl 99 Broken Persona early game with instant win, had to make this rule early in Kamoshida's palace since Mr. InTheGroundBullDemon one shotted 99% of the enemies with fire and the 1% were IMMUNE TO FIRE if I recall correctly)

The game kinda makes me wonder who the hell I should romance, one minute it’s Kasumi, then Hifumi, then Ann, then Kawasaki, then the worst character in the game(Ohya), but most of the time it’s Makoto, which… I actually don’t have a problem with… But make up your damn mind game! I can’t just do all of them! Well… I can… But… Why would I do that!?

The only reason I quit persona was because I used dlc personas, I got bored because the game became too easy, and now I don't have my savedata and I don't wanna start again from scratch😢

I played my first playthrough without DLC personas, then the second playthrough I wanted to focus more on social interactions so I just got the DLC personas and now Messiah just deletes everything so I can get back to talking to akechi

The game is incredibly easy compared to the original. This game has one of the highest platinum rates on PlayStation. Merciless is ltierally easier than hard mode.

I always purposely waited till I was at the DLC personas level to summon it. Just so I felt the challenge that I was meant to feel while playing.

Agree with everything but dlc personas just dont use them i went a whole playthrough without knowing they existed

I wish they had tweaked Oya's confidant to be something more useful after making treasure demons more likely to spawn at 100% security level. I WANT the security level high, don't make it go down faster dammit! Other than that, I don't mind the lack of balance in the confidants. You get them the first time to see the story then ignore the useless ones in NG+.

I agree about Morgana's story arc and it cutting into Haru's story. Since Haru was introduced so late, her character needed as much screentime as possible but she didn't get that time. Another change I would make to Haru's arc is having us change her fiance's heart or have her tell him off during her confidant arc. It was so odd to me that literally the rest of the phantom thieves stood up for themselves and fought back against their oppressors but Haru let the president guy take care of Sugimura. A lot of Morgana's problem is him not being mature enough to not take Ryuji's ribbing seriously. Everyone ribs Ryuji, especially Morgana, so of course Ryuji's going to give it back when he can. Don't even get me started on everyone getting pissy at Ryuji for daring to "die" while saving their lives. There are several story points that should have been changed or even outright dropped.

I wish they would have made the DLC personas their own tab so I don't have to see them mixed with the other personas in the compendium. Or ask me if I want them at the beginning and keep the offer open through the game. The game works very hard to make sure you know they're there and it's annoying as heck.
