This is an incredibly inhumane way of butchering a rabbit. A bolt gun would be far quicker and totally painless. You essentially partially knock the rabbit unconscious and then slit its throat.

I rear and eat my own rabbits, and your goal is to make their ending as humane as possible. Please, if anyone is watching this, buy a freaking bolt gun. These rabbits had a miserable end at the hands of a woman who clearly hasn't a clue when it comes to the humane way of dispatching animals.

Done incorrectly, usually the right way is to follow along back and hit back of head that is better than a “bop”. Clearly it was in pain as it was clubbed twice Disappointing was looking forward to this but Bozo behind camera won’t shut up. That’s possibly the worse and slowest way to kill a rabbit! Why would you prefer this method over cervical dislocation which is easier and too fast for the bunny to feel? Here you didn’t even stun it and painfully bled it to death! Just absolutely horrible and stupid! Poor thing suffered a slow painful death unnecessarily! You should not be making a video on the wrong way to do it. There’s way better videos out there that kill the bunny fast and pain free!

For the third time... :D Torturing it before it's death will make the meat so much worse (thickened texture, no taste, look it up).
It's not "bopped" it probably had a heart attack or just ran out of stamina...if I see it correctly it never touched ground before, otherwise it would run like hell.
My rabbits won't stay in one place if you put them down to sightsee just like that, hell, I cannot even pick them up if they don't want to. :D
Also for the third time....blood will pump out even after 15 seconds of death. You just have to be quick.... NOT like in this video.
For people actually interested how to kill a rabbit for meat:
-shoot it in the head with a pellet gun -at a designated place, preferably not in the middle of your vegetable patch. I can see blood splattered all over the trellis, it's not really sanitary and/or beautiful. I'm not squeamish, just like things clean, and in their place.
-place it on the ground, anywhere, cut it's jugular straight through....don't talk, don't waste time, don't make remarks....just do it. you can talk when it's done. even if it's for a video. You don't have to talk while the animal suffers...
-lift it up so blood can flow with ease
Done....now you can dismantle it.
Show some respect, they feed you and you should take care of them likewise...you don't have to befriend them or play with them daily like me... but it does not hurt to show some genuine kindness towards them at least in their last minutes, and at least when making a video for the whole world to see.

Absolutely incorrect. You hit behind the ears to dislocate the cervical spine. You hit it for no reason in your video. Break their neck. Muscle reflexes and they die. Come on. This is 100% torture to that animal.

When I was a boy of 8-12 years old, my grandparents raised rabbits and chickens in their cottage near the city. Grandfather used to harvest them by breaking necks. And when I was ordered to dispatch some rabbits and especially chickens, I did it by the axe, decapitating them on the stump. When doing that I put a holey bag on my head and imagined myself an executioner from the illustrated book about medieval history ))) I even played one-man theater scenes, portraying in turn a king, then a judge, and finally an executioner who chopped off the heads of sentenced villains in front of bloodthirsty crowd ))) Such a harsh child's fantasy... 😁
