STAY AWAY from the Ganzo Adamnti Samson knife and Ganzo in general, clip broke on first use and support is non-existent. 3 months of emailing them to send a clip or at least a link where I can purchase a clip is unproductive, they ignore their customers.

Just purchased my first Ganzo and drum roll please, it’s an automatic. Cannot believe it for $35.00. Heavy, no wiggles, spring strength they’re all there. What a lucky buy.

I wasn't too keen on the FH31 but I saw the FH31B-Gk (I think I got that right) and I thought it looked cool. I bought it. The comfort is second to none. The wharncliffe blade is a great slicer. I tried it on some cardboard and it sailed through. Another fantastic Ganzo is the FH41. It's the best looker among the FH family and it's also a fantastic slicer. I also love the FH923. Mine has thumb studs to go along with the flipper. Great trailing point blade. Also very comfortable. The G-Lock equipped knives are great. I do prefer the non-bearing ones but I also do really love the FB760 and FB763. Have you guys tried out the Adimanti Neformat? If you love Ganzo knives, you should check that one out. I've got one in G10 and honestly, it's all the knife you will ever need for EDC.

I had an FH91 back in 2021. Gave it away and regretted it. When I saw they were available again at the dealership where I hang out, I got one. It's a great do everything knife. Just the right size, not too heavy but with enough blade for most everything you're going to use a folding knife for. I also love the girth of the handle. It's very comfortable.

In new Zealand knives are nearly 3 times the price, with postage, you pay. I've used ganzo as an EDC and hunting knife and they are fine as hard use tools.

Ganzo 440C is pretty good stuff. Their switch to D2 on the other hand was a bad decision. D2 requires too much care to be a really practical EDC. While everybody likes better edge retention, I think rust is a deal breaker for just about everyone. There are other good and inexpensive stainless steels available in China that can retain a better edge than 440C and still not rust.

From my experience, Ganzo's are well made knives that can last for years in EDC use with very minimal care. For an average user, there's no need to upgrade to much of anything else for a very long time. Again, I'm talking about the 440C knives. Also, overall the price point is reasonable.

BTW, I'm not suggesting that D2 is bad steel... it's just that it's likely to stain and even rust. If that won't bother you then yes, it's better edge retention might matter if you do a lot of cutting in a dry climate and of dry and non corrosive things.

They are absolutely great knives, but they do dull quickly under hard use. If you don’t have a sharpener, you may need a stronger steel for a days work. I was using mine for drywall though.

China D2 argument never made sense to me, D2 or any steel has metallurgical properties and it does not matter where it comes from if it contains the same metallurgical properties it is that steel

Before, I was not a fan of ganzo because of its size. Most of their knives are 8 inches but now days are different. Ganzo has improved the quality of their knives, has its own design, good D2 steel blade and has a small knife size as well. i love their new firebird FH series. Can't wait to collect them all.

My advice to everyone is save up and buy the real thing, support American companies. It may take me a little longer but I much prefer to support local and know I get the customer service that goes along with it. That’s just my opinion.

I went full circle, started with budget (ganzo among others) to premium brands with Spyderco, BM, ZT and such for years, and now back to enjoying a great daily worker that holds up to the rough daily tasks. And it will not hurt if it gets damaged...lost or walks away, though I have only had one ganzo "break" and one with stripped pocket clip screws from factory and a few rough ones but that was the early ones. I have dozens of ganzos now and is one of my top gift knife.

Interesting budget options - thanks for sharing, I will check a few of them out. For me, the brands Sanrenmu (now SRM) and Ruike were the entry "drug" to knives. I have nothing bad to say about them. Actually, one of my favorite daily beater knives until today is the Ruike P135. Hard to explain why...

The fixed blade is clearly Benchmade 200 Puukko inspired with a Mora style sheath. I'm interested in the fixed blade to compare it to my Benchmade 200 Puukko and my Mora's because it looks to have real potential to be a great budget knife.

It is a gateway product "drug" to EDC addiction. The 440c sharpens easy and holds an edge well enough with decent heat treatment. If you went back in time to the 1940's, 50's, 60's, these current Ganzo knives would be considered super steel products.

That Ganzo F759 was my first "real knife" I got and it was my gateway into the knife enthusiast world. For the price, it was so well done that I easily could have stopped there if I wasn't crazy. Also, it'll become drop shutty and flickable after breaking in a little and having one maintenance disassembly.

That fixed blade looks really interesting too (especially for the price). It's been on my radar for a little while now.

Interesting that you would be unboxing a 759, which is a relatively old knife, near the end of 2022. I am convinced that Ganzo is producing the 759 with Spyderco’s blessing because (1) the 759 is SO close to a Meadowlark 2 that Spyderco would be obliged to file suit if there were no agreement between them; and (2) you’re absolutely right — Ganzo customers become Spyderco customers. Since the time I purchased a 759, I’ve purchased a G10 Meadowlark, G10 and FRN Harriers, G10 Cara Cara, Endela, and a Delica in K390.
