Really? Just because home makers make a sizable population of women...it does not mean they are not working or employed. As a matter of fact the next generation is carefully crafted by these selfless women that take care of their families as a priority

Unlike white people. 75% of indian families don't require maid or nanny for their family. That's savings 101.
Also 75% of indian population lives in villages. They work hard growing crops for the rest of the country. Most surveys don't count for them.

As a staunch advocate of democracy... I actually think democracy has done India more harm than good. All of the East Asian giants went through a phase of "benevolent dictatorial tendencies" that allowed them to shove through necessary reforms amidst intense backlash (but were necessary for the long term prosperity of their nations).

India has too many interest groups, lobbies and corruption to get anything meaningful done at scale. My guess is India will need some kind of truly fundamental political reform before it can succeed in the same way East Asia has. I fear India will remain a basket case unless something truly fundamental changes.

Indian society needs to understand it cannot satisfy everyone and make progress at the same time. Everything worth doing has significant cost.

Are you kidding me? A majority of Indian women purposely don't want to work, they want to live off of their dad or husband and they just want to live a princesses life inside the home

A lot of them dont want to work and family will support them if they do housework. Going to college is just to get away from family and have some fun for a few years for many women.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

Guess what. A lot of young unemployed married housewife produce more children (India) than a culture where Woman and men are separated by long hour work and location and couple with draconian one child policy (China).

Surprise, surprise.

Generated using Talkbud (Browser Extension):
📝 Summary of Key Points:

📌 The video highlights the high rate of unemployment among women in India, with three out of four Indian women being unemployed.
🧐 Even among the 24% of women in the labor force, many do not actually work, and as little as one hour of paid labor per week is considered employment.
🚀 Cultural expectations and personal safety issues play a significant role in keeping women out of the workforce in India.
🚀 The "patrilineal trap" refers to low wages in India that are just enough for families to survive on one income but not high enough to draw women back to the workforce.
🚀 Lack of job creation and competition for jobs in India, along with the dominance of small businesses and the lack of manufacturing jobs, contribute to the unemployment crisis.
🚀 India's demographic window, with 40% of the population under the age of 25, presents an opportunity for significant economic growth if women are employed at the same rate as men.

💡 Additional Insights and Observations:

💬 "India is one of the most dangerous countries for women."
📊 Out of India's 1.4 billion population, only 38 million women are meaningfully employed.
🌐 The video mentions Imprint as the sponsor, which offers book summaries and interactive lessons.

📣 Concluding Remarks:

The video sheds light on the high rate of unemployment among women in India, attributing it to cultural expectations, personal safety issues, and the "patrilineal trap." It also highlights the lack of job creation and competition for jobs in India, emphasizing the importance of harnessing the country's demographic window. The video suggests that external help may be needed to address India's employment challenges.

Well that is Story of pooper nation's entire life- Over promise and under deliver.

Economy was developing at an organic pace, until regime change took place, & Keynesian bankers took over.
Country was not prepared for rapid money printing and spending (on bs).
Rapid inflation of every asset, commodity and money, within decade.

Automotive industry used to have record breaking sales during "holy" season.
Now they are all nickel and dime scam artists.

Demon regime destroyed cohesive system, just to gain absolute control and power.
You cannot start any manufacturing startup unless you have connection to the regime + religion.

Now only functional form of economy is 'religious" scams and festivals, just to keep serf population brainwashed into giving up their wealth.

Worst part is people don't seem to realize that regime is running their religion into ground, by weaponizing it and using religion to commit atrocities for political gain.
It will be destroyed, just like rest of religions got destroyed, due to weaponization.

It is sad to see pooper nation going down the blackhole of anger and destitution.

I did not know this. In the US, women from Indian families seem to have quite upwardly mobile career trajectories. Odd you did not mention that English language proficiency did impact the rise of the services sector, which it clearly did. I work with many in India, and education and English are key requisites.
You also did not mention that much of the business infrastructure is privately funded and controlled, which severely limits individual agency and advancement. And this is highly correlated with a overtly repressive caste system that predominantly benefits the Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishya castes. I experienced rather stark examples of this even in high-skilled American workplaces. I can’t imagine the hegemonic power within India itself. Despite its rise, it still remains overwhelmingly a country of scarcity, so I suspect social (caste dominance) dynamics have an outsized impact. Interestingly when I raise this with highly educated Indians with US citizenry or work status, they appear to be oblivious to this dynamic, even as they actively engage in it.
I would love to see more videos about India and its economic, social and political development. Of any emerging global economy, to me and to others I know even more closely associated with India, it remains a considerable mystery.

Almost everyone, including the media, is anticipating a market catastrophe, and as a result, many are turning a blind eye to the opportunities in the market. I recently began investing in stocks and it was the best choice I've ever made. If you genuinely want to be financially secure, disregard everything the media is suggesting. The market offers a lot of chances. Maximize your use of itp

Job market is really embarrassing and womens do struggle and find it difficult due to many hurdles and challenges... however the calculation isn't accurate not everyone wants to work.

Again yes there are still lot of restrictions but this cannot be defined for the entirety of the country.

I live in Germany and have many friends both in India and abroad who arent working not coz they are uneducated or arent allowed but they dont have it.

The gap is very big but it all depends on families... financial structure... and dependency.

The title is clickbaity. 75% of Indian women ARE NOT unemployed. They are however not participating in the labor force. To be considered unemployed, you have to be eligible for work (aka adult), not working and actively looking for work.

The facts in the video are important and the gov should aim to improve the situation, but unemployment is a specific term in economics and not just a catch all term for people not working.

USA got rid of this issue by their men stepping into the World Wars and women participating in the labour force. But that is not possible now. for India, it needs to come up with something. A small company tuned thoroughly is not a bad thing, yes it may seem bad, but think if it fails only a few gets dropped while a 200 strong company may slip a lot of households if things fail. And things fail, the biggest example is Detroit and Chicago. Small companies are swift and the sheer numbers make them compartitive which is always good. You just need to have a very organised and custom design your workplan to succeed.

This seems to be a Chinese channel, it is full of lies. We know your fathers and fore farhers who were alive prior to 90s. They were most poors in the world. Chinese economy boomed astonishingly due to greed of USA for slave labour in China. Countries supported by USA and West developed faster. Now west has stopped manufacturing inChina so many factories have moved out of China. Chinese economy has slowed and has many troubles. Many technologies are denied to China by west. West was never in favour of India due to it relation with USSR. India will also grow now.

Employment doesn't equate to just paid labour. That's a very short sited western approach. Everyone in family contributes...In US and the west you have to pay for nanny, people pay and eat packaged food/fast food !! I do agree to systemic issues which also exist in every country. There's definitely scope for loads of improvement. But I also want to highlight that Western and Capitalist system is also far from perfect. So, just like economic theory of demand and supply, forces of market balance out eventually ! We can't just say that India is unsafe for women, inequality, overqualification, corruption, etc. etc. these points are true for every country in the world.
