Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for these useful tips and reminders. I like your clear explanatiions, and the mention of both pro's and con's of each technique. Above all your friendly and down-to-earth manner makes it easy for me to pay attention to the end. These tips fit my own situation perfectly and I'll be trying to remember to follow them!
ОтветитьThank youuuuuu
ОтветитьThank you!!!
ОтветитьWhat if I am writing and reading all the time? I can’t escape that low position
ОтветитьThank you my friend u saved my life, as a lifter o reads a lot e find my self with pain during training do to bad posture
Ответитьthe thing is none of these positions feel comfortable while holding a book/kindle and then I can't retain any information at all because I end up concentrated on how uncomfortable I'm feeling 😢 the hunchback positions are the only ones comfortable enough to read for extended periods of time... I really want to do better but I don't know how...
Ответитьsounds annoying like people are better off not reading
ОтветитьThanks, I have been suffering from neck pain cause of reading, I will try these positions
Ответитьthank you this was extremely helpful
ОтветитьThis is a future film for me .
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThank youuu !!!! This helps me alot.
Ответитьbut it's soooooo comfy to curl into a ball to read 😭
Ответить😉👍👍 I'm going to purchase a book stand 😁❤
ОтветитьThanks 😊
Ответитьfor using laptop I use a stand that sits on the desk. Fully adjustable for height and tilt, also has a built in fan to keep laptop cool. I stand while using it so can stretch and move.
ОтветитьI spy Katy Bowman's "Movement Matters". Great video, Matt. I will think about how to interpret these positions for floor sitting. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for these ideas...will put them into practice 😊
Just a comment - and I hope you take it the right way, just trying to be informative in case your are not aware of it - I can see that wrote wear glass, so for that ... A T M also 😉 Refractive problems are to do with the eye muscles being tense or not strong enough, or not in balance, so the same way that you work any muscles in the rest of your body, you can also work your eye muscles and restore your vision. I hope this helps.🤗
All of these tips apply to using your phone at home, as well! But what about laying on the couch watching TV/Movies for extended periods of time… we are all guilty of this!
ОтветитьIs your sofa a special one to keep the back straight?
ОтветитьClickbait title alternative: Book publishing industry CONSPIRACY TO DESTROY YOUR HEALTH. Reading KILLS. Here’s How:

Great ideas for reading, thank you. Do you have any ideas for preparing food at the kitchen counter. I love to cook. Today I was peeing ginger and my neck was really hurting. I peel a lot at once and freeze it so I always have fresh ginger.
ОтветитьI slouch at the PC a lot
ОтветитьSit at a table.
ОтветитьI spend many many hours reading in a supported squat in my recliner-feet up beside my butt, with my thoracic spine and head on a half foam roller- a good chest opener, too. I’m going to try the forward bent back extension tho as a break.
ОтветитьSuper useful, thank you! Seems like I can read again.
ОтветитьThanks for being awesome This is such great information
ОтветитьI have my laptop set up at shoulder height so I don"t slouch.
ОтветитьI read in my cab, and i rest the book on the steering wheel.
ОтветитьLove the book you are reading...onenof my favorites.
ОтветитьThank you for your help! Any tips for using a laptop if you aren't at a table?
ОтветитьI find wearing a backpack seems to make my posture worse. Do you have any tips for this please?
ОтветитьAdding a few more audio books...reading books is great for you but audiobooks are great in a different way (empathy building vs. cognitive activation) and you can do all sorts of things listening to audio books.
ОтветитьSo does this mean some people are just so smart and knowledgable that they don't read so to not get a hunchback and/or kyphosis? wow! them smarties! : )
ОтветитьI do audio books occasionally to avoid hunchback reading. 😃
ОтветитьHow about lying flat on the floor w arms extended up? I do this while using my phone. Also helps limit time on it bc I can only hold my arms straight up in the air for so long. 🤣
ОтветитьI always thought I was a bit weird sitting with my knees upright.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьLoved the prone idea, in fact, I watched the rest of the video with my laptop laying on its back and my hands on the coffee table! Fantastic hack! Worked on my ankle flexion while extending through thoracic spine. Going to work up to a hands-free, deadlift position. You're brilliant! Thank you!
Ответить👍
ОтветитьHave you done any videos on having better posture while studying at a desk or doing something that requires extended periods of writing by hand? I'm studying a language and can definitely feel the effects of a few hours of taking notes and doing homework.
ОтветитьNow if you could only do a video on how to remember my stupid PayPal password….
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Kidding!
Made myself a note to contribute to your greatness next time I’m at my laptop.
PS - I’m working a lot on my Asian squat. I think it will help me with a lot of different activities. 😃🙋♀️
Good timing. I’m home sick and reading all day. My back went out yesterday while changing my sheets- probably from sitting in bed and reading for days. This video is very helpful- thanks!
ОтветитьAs a massage therapist your videos help me help my clients. Thank you for what you do, keep doing it, please!
ОтветитьGood tips. It’s so hard to get comfortable while reading.
Ответить👍😃🙏🏼
