My grades were bad, but not that bad. I knew the material. I aced all the tests. I just didn't see any benefit from doing the repetitive crap they assigned us.
I wasn't going to graduate because of my grades so I dropped out and took the GED test and scored in the 99th percentile. When my GED instructor handed me my scores she told me that I could go to school just about anywhere and be just about anything I wanted and the government would pay me to do it. Then the IRS gave me the runaround regarding tax transcripts so I never got any money and actually ended up owing a few thousand dollars.

When you just arent interested in school system or people:
