Neverwinter | Do NOT do THIS as NEW Player in Mod 23 - Pain of Leveling: Choose a Different Class!

I played a wizard way back before the level cap was raised. I still remember that change. A few of us met at the guild hall to go do he's, we got to the first one. All of us got slaughtered lol.

With the neverwinter incentive event I decided to make a new wizard.

My gosh you aren't kidding. This is the most painful leveling experience. It just takes forever to kill things.

It's pathetic how you people act like wizard is completely useless. I've been playing it for about a week. You are aware you can do something called dodging, right? You just stood there purposely like you were unaware you could simply move out of the way of an attack. Wtf is the purpose of a wizard being a choice in a lot of fantasy games if all you people are going to do is complain that they aren't immortal and invincible gods? It's called using your head and proving you have skill

Try using a character or 2 to buy 900 il equipment for your wizard as soon as possible. The leveling stuff isn’t level dependent and you can use it for a long time. Next, use the fighting companions. I used the ray of frost in short bursts at long distances then pop the icy terrain ,back off and use repell. If you have the dragon, put that in the tray and you get an extra ranged/aoe attack.

I do agree the wizard isa mess compared to a warlock.

I am level 4 and I feel it from the very start

I mean, did they really buff the wizard that much from module 23 to module 24 because I did not find it that difficult

I don’t know did they change shield between 23 and 24 because I was using shield and it’s instant you put it up and you keep it up all the time and before the keys you cast again which you’re never going to wait that long because the moment they get grouped up on you, you pop your shield You’re just always popping the shield and keeping it up all the time it refreshes it when you pop it, they get close to you you pop it again you kill stuff you don’t want stuff grouped on you and in and it’s instant once you have it up it’s instant you don’t wait until you’re in the middle of stuff to cast that you cast it before you get in the middle of stuff It’s an instant it’s an instant cast to refresh it and maybe they changed it between 23 and 24, but I did not have the trouble you’re having.

I thought you were somewhere else I know what you’re saying about that crap they do kind of just seem to pour out of everywhere. Sometimes you go in that room and you kill one group and that’s it other times they seem to just pop out of everywhere if you’re lucky, they wait until after you’ve accomplished what you have to do in there, but I know what you’re saying still wizard you gotta use the ability to push them away Khalif you push them away kill a few.

Every time I’ve done that room you come in to jump down right there where about where you see the even know which resource it is, but you see some Luther to the right and to jump down you kill those then you move up a little bit and two more jump down you kill those then you run up and then you kill the three or four that are by the the switch to put the bridge across I didn’t. I’ve never seen that number of critters show up in that Room, so I’m not sure why that is and why you’re seeing that I never saw anything spawning adds in that room

Here’s the thing first of all icy terrain doesn’t do that much damage when you’re just starting out leveling up, so use the shield instead and when you start getting ganged up on pop the shield, everything gets thrown away by the time it gets back to you you’ve killed one or two and you have your shield again I mean when you pop it while it’s up it just renews it but it knocks everything back so you kill a couple of them you still have your shield they come running back your pop it again you kill a couple of them they come running back that’s that’s kind of you know when you’re in a group and you have a tank Then icy terrain especially when you’re you know endgame icy train is great. Throw it on your tank and everything is grouped on him anyway and he’s gonna keep progressing so that makes sense but for yourself it doesn’t make sense when you’re solo you cast it out there in the distance everything just runs right out of it towards you. You’re better off if you put your rappel on your mechanic button and you put icy drain on a non-mechanic button and then it casts right on you, so anything rushing up to you is hopefully taking damage and getting routed but my experience is it. It doesn’t work that well at low levels.

What exactly are you doing? Are you running all the way through luring them all to one spot before you try to kill them because I’m a wizard that’s ludicrous in fact unless you’re on a melee character that has several AOE powers it’s ludicrous. It’s a lot faster to kill him onesie doozy is it come up on my I am OK I want to stop judging you because I I have not played a wizard all the way through but I didn’t have any problem getting out a wizard up to about level 13 or 14 and I’m a complete noob I mean I played years ago but I don’t even remember the characters I had I don’t remember him at all and obviously lots is changed

Doing when I was playing, a wizard am only very shortly because I don’t like the place style. If I want ranged, I would rather have the Ranger you know the more the warlock, but when I was playing it, I would bump in my way kill one or two by then we encounter power is back, and I would bump them away again, and as far as the Boscos just go right in the room, had for the boss, burn his ass down then worry about ass you know use a couple potions, if you

Play repell is not a negative for a wizard who in the end has only one AOE encounter power and I am honestly not sure how many yeah AOE dailies it has but it doesn’t matter because you use black hole I mean that’s the one you’re going to use so you basically end up with 28 goalies Having repell set up so that it repels massive numbers or even not using the AOE and using the shield instead makes sense on a wizard because you don’t want them all bunched up on you when you’re leveling everything is bunched up on you regardless of what you try to do and since you don’t have, you’re not a really character you don’t. Have you know any kind of spin AOE you don’t wanna bunched up on you if you’re blasted back, you have a second to kill one or two of them before bunch is up again, and quite frankly, that shield thing works really well. If you keep popping it off when you got a room full of ads and you keep popping it off before it blows up, you can keep it up almost all the time and just use it when you need to move shit away from you while you’re single carving them down with by the way much higher damage single target and counter spells and Atwill spells you’re out will is much more powerful to Not to mention I’m sure you’re aware of the interactions with your feeds later on and giraffe aunt Will Powers, you know mastery, various kinds of mastery you’ve got to play them differently obviously when it’s up when you when your character in any RPG is primarily an AOE character for clearing mobs then yes, you want them all bunched text sometimes you know you have powers that will punch them When you’re playing a single target character, do you want them all somewhere else at range and the wizard has those tools to put them at range to keep them at range to keep shoving them back the warlock whatever it’s called the hand I can’t I can’t think of the name of it that tool should be on your kit all the way through level 20 because every time somethings about the Castanho smack it down. If she gets punched up on you smack it down every two seconds you should just be smacking it down. It doesn’t do a lot of Paul a lot of damage because it it has a two second Koval, you can literally just keep knocking them down over and over again from my experience. The most survival character in this game for DPS is the warlock because of that power every time you see an AOE coming knock him down they’re gonna be right on top of you anyhow, you should be running up to the magic users or the archers because they won’t run up to you. Everything else will punch up on you and you just keep knocking it down or with the wizard you keep knocking it away Unlike a row Garam archer ranger or a barbarian where you want them doll bunch of Ponyo so that you can spend a couple times and kill everything personally, I think that the the AOE the wizard gets needs to be stronger for a new player if you try to use that to crowd control it doesn’t work nothing gets routed. It does some damage to it and they all run towards you out of it I am and it does not route. Not really I might experience anyway maybe later on once your stats are all locked. It’ll route much better, but I didn’t see it doing much of that, so I kind of think that the wizard needs like one more encounter power that’s a decent AOE with crowd control so you can lock them down and pick them off or maybe that was just needs to be beefed up a bit so that it it’s better and routing them so you can cast at Ruth them down them till one or two before they start rushing you again and you can lock them down dirt away until one or two

How are you do that you kill the boss while dodging around you have a very good teleport you just kill the boss you easily can burn that boss down really quickly with a wizard or a warlock and then clean up the add

damn who would have though with diferant classes you have to play in a diferant way mate i like your videos they are good and helpfull but this, this is honestly just stupid complaints early on you just cant run past everything then take them all out at the end

Omg i just watched 12 minutes if straight on rant after rant. Maybe change the video title to “why i rage when i play wizard”. There were no new player tips there😢
