Huawei?
ОтветитьFor me,, dynamic range is huge! I almost always vote for the image with greater DR because its more close to how our eyes see things and none of the consumer full size camera sensors on market today can match the human eye for DR as of yet from a single exposure that is. Cell phone cameras are even worse in this area because the sensor and lenses are so small so there may be some software magic going on behind the scenes. I would be very curious to know if the winners of these contests were in HDR mode! Or maybe they automatically shoot in HDR mode while others default to off. If so,, this is not a fair comparison. Or maybe they are all in HDR mode and then it comes down to which camera software algos does the better job blending the exposures.
ОтветитьPlease do this in a "round-robin tournament". I think that's more fair way to do it.
ОтветитьNeed a blind test of all pixel phones
ОтветитьWatching right now using my 5a 🤩
ОтветитьI had the Pro-i(which I won) and the 5a
ОтветитьThe perfect phone would be a google camera system, Samsung features and screen, Iphone body and video quality with an Asus gaming system, lol.
ОтветитьOnePlus 11 is the winner for 2023
ОтветитьWho's here after watching the blind smartphone camera test 2022 video? 🧐
Ответить"Blind smartphone camera test"

ОтветитьNo 2022 blind photo test? 😕😔 (messaging your team from 1-year into the future!)
ОтветитьI'm hoping you great folk do a new one soon for 2022
ОтветитьWhere is the vivo x70 pro plus??
ОтветитьIt's time for 2022 camara test. Please post 🔥
ОтветитьThis will almost certainly be lost in all the comments on a year old video, but how much if the likeability of a photo is due to the software editing that each phone automatically applies when a photo is taken.
Like if you side loaded the google camera app to each phone and used the same app with each phone would it change the outcome. (it may not be optimized for each phones sensors) but it'd be interesting to see how much the software plays a role.
Vivo X70 Pro Plus or X80 Pro?
ОтветитьBrilliant. Except everyone's display's are different and even though its a comparison, a dull image that's sharper might look much worse on an average display in comparison to a bright picture that's medium sharp.
ОтветитьYour hate for Sony makes no sense.
ОтветитьNext time; have each of the phones take multiple photos in a variety of settings and let people rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 without showing the phone names and jumble-up the sequence. I know more work! This will give much better and wholesome competitive chance to the genuinely good phone which might lack in one particular (or few!) scenarios. You can do this with other creators to split up some of the work or even go for crowd-sourcing for helpers. I am sure you can find 10 of us out millions of followers.
ОтветитьShould I get the Pixel 5 or Pixel 5a? The 5 has higher refresh rate, more ram and premium materials however the 5a does have better camera, bigger display and higher battery.
ОтветитьWhere are the vivo and more chinese brands? Lol
ОтветитьThere should be night photos in the competition...
ОтветитьIt would be cool to have a good DSLR photo for comparison so that we can see what the truer-to-life image is as a baseline.
ОтветитьYour test setup is still biased..
ОтветитьAlso please use tripods for taking photo, the composition is not entire the same between a lot of these photos which creates an unbalance.
ОтветитьThis was actually a good and a awesome video to watch and I hope everybody has a peaceful day :)
Ответить.
Ответитьnoooo way i can't believe it the s21 ultra and the iphone 13 pro max were blown away already at the second round
ОтветитьI have a question, which phone is better.. galaxy note 8 or xiamo 11t? Thanks for answers
ОтветитьWhy no Huawei?
ОтветитьVery interesting. A bracket system is a bit luck based, where maybe a good contender loses early. Wouldn't it be more interesting to also have a group phase before that?
And, consider every match a best of three or five photos, where everyone votes for the best of multiple photos.
Alternatively, consider mixing in a professionally taken photo with a professional camera, by an actual photography expert (that would cost you some money, likely, or a collaboration with another pro photography channel), and then have the people vote for which of three or five side-by-side photos they like best, given that they see a third picture of the same scene that they know that the professional took to the best of their ability. The pro should try to make the photo as normal as possible, so no excessive hard or soft lighting, exposure, editing, etc.; just take the photo as good as possible for what you'd expect from a smartphone: sharp scenes, bright but not oversaturated photos, HDR in the brights and darks, good sharpness and contrast in faces.
You could even add bonus categories for picture modes that all phones left in the competition share, like maybe macro, portrait, ultra wide or telezoom modes, as the competition progresses. This keeps the competition interesting, and still the voting wouldn't be much harder. Only the organization of it, but that's your job. ;)
Peace
Would be interesting to see how Xiaomi 12S Ultra would have done!
ОтветитьI think we would need to factor the shutter speed and responsiveness with pictures that are moving. While I understand that's a tougher thing to do an identical comparison between, I feel this is what most people look in their cameras if they actually get the shot of their pet, baby or generally people in movement. Probably that's where the extra $ phones factor better.
ОтветитьYou should do a version of these just with iphones, to see which iphone camera is "the best"
Ответить"Or would you rather have a camera that just gives you 9/10, 9, 9, 9, every single time"
MKBHD, after the iPhone lost the blind camera test 4 years in a row.
so if a phone loses to another in 1 scenario they get eliminated ??? what if the eliminated phone smashes every other phone in every other scenario .
ОтветитьAll the Camera Tests are useless unless you do a Zoom Test & Night Photography Tests.
ОтветитьIt would've been a lot more informative if you'd added a night photo and also video test
ОтветитьFew comments: First of all pretty much everything said in the 11K like Twin Tetas thread (especially kylek29's comment) for better results. The bracket format is so heavily weighted by how you position the first round specifically lacking the season-long ranking that makes such bracket seeding work well in sporting tournaments. Second: You mention brightness in your wrap-up: That irks me so hard given without exception I've found all cell cameras I've ever used to take better shots when you slide the exposure down a bit. Enough so I've frequently pondered why the default setting is "too hot". Results and commentary like this make that make sense and mean I'm never going to get my wish. Thirdly: Commentary about "most people's" style taking phone pics. Yes, I want your average consumer to take the best possible photo with the least amount of effort AND one of my biggest targets is low TTC (Time-To-Capture) like Phone out of pocket -> Unlock -> Capture in a couple seconds so I don't want to be doing a ton of fiddling with every shot either.. Those casual shooters aren't who I'm looking at for "best camera" and I'm hoping you would put a bit more TLC into the shots being compared such as I noticed in many of the pairings the shot wasn't framed exactly the same. More or less window can change the lighting dynamics in the room OR the angle can significantly affect the image as well. Even people's expression in the photo: Psychologically people will tend to vote for smiles. Can't get a fair apples to apples vote on an apples to oranges shot. I would also hope the settings are roughly the same (Auto v Manual, HDR on/off, etc) Personally HDR is one of the first things I turn off on every camera I've owned because it's terrible for the high motion photography I'm taking most all of the time (concert photography). Heck let's be honest: Most people are taking selfies with their phones which isn't great for HDR either so why do phone makers default it to ON?? Incidentally I'm currently using a Moto Edge+ with the same 108MP sensor that's in the S21+. Although it zooms better than any phone camera I've ever had (3x optical, 10x digital but clear) in-general I think it's terrible compared to the 5yo Moto-X Pro it replaced. Video both the image and sound are significantly inferior and photos the color quality is absolute crap. Sometimes it's right sometimes it's unbelievably terrible and doesn't seem to matter whether in auto or manual or with the full spectrum of settings in manual. Maybe my sensor is defective? Maybe the software is buggy? Either way looking for a different brand for my next phone (and not just because the "Edge" concept is fscking terrible.. I want my non-screen edges back and unfortunately Motorola only puts their top specs in the Edge these days).
ОтветитьIm curious, why would you put both google phones on the same spot instead of comparing those with the other brands? Just curious.
ОтветитьI think for April Fool's there should be one, but all the images are intentionally very blurry 😂
ОтветитьSo 2021 best mobile Apple ?
MKHBF you cheated your followers.
the pixel was a lilllll fake looking but still was a good picture!
Ответитьthis is the one i've been waiting for from this channel
ОтветитьI don't know if it's weird though but my OnePlus 8 Pro is taking better photos sharper higher HDR contrast better than most phones to date maybe you should look into it just check it out.
ОтветитьI always wonder...why iPhone camera is hype
ОтветитьAs a researcher, i can't help but notice that the whole "knockout" system is also susceptible to bias.
As you said, every camera has its own characteristics, some have different area of strength than others. So it'll be much fairer if users can choose every camera results from every scenario. And then incorporate some knockout system where every least rated smartphone will get eliminated from the competition.
Hw about best low light video phone
