How is tax handling if I use interactive broker being in Germany?

Do interactive brokers generate yearly tax reports that can used to report tax easily myself?

It may be that I missed it but you might have overlooked one very important component where Degiro is just plain superiod. We are only considering the buy side for now. fine, makes sense. however, Degiro also only charges a 1-3€ fixed sale cost at this point. Either way, Interactive brokers is considerably more expensive here as you will have accumulated a considerably bigger portfolio at the point you want to cash out. Then the cashing out becomes quite expensive compared. consequently, the difference between the two in terms of price is marginal.

Degiro charts and the indicators available are close to none, however its close to impossible to open an account in IB because they have a brutal waiting line

IBKR makes money by payment for orderflow, right. Apparently this not allowed in the EU so i can understand that degiro has the lending as business model.
A broker has to make money, one way or the other.

I've been following your channel which I find very informative. After many study, I finally bought my first ETF at IBK, but I've noticed something much different than you. Hello Angelo, the spreadsheet is for 1 transaction, right? which means, if I would buy 2 ETF each for 1000euro, I would pay twice the fees, not once for 2000 euro, right?

I wanted to ask you, seems like you have the Degiro account, you can have it and it doesn't charge you if is empty? I open one degiro account and didn't use it, now I just want to get interactive brokers is ok to leave it like that ?

I tried to place an order at VWCE for 3 000 EUR (tiered pricing plan, account type cash).
The fee is not 1.25 EUR but around 30 euros.
Could you please give me any hints why the fee is so high?

Angelo, amazing videos thank you, I was setting the purchase for 4 shares and the transaction fee is from 3 to 3.75 EUR, so diferent from yours, wonder why? Also, when I put EUR it doesnt show automatically the number of shares equivalent and the limit is also not set automatically, what am I doing wrong? Regarding permissions, did you check all the bullets?

Hi great video, i need help. So im from Croatia and have few hundred euros on ForTrade platform and have been investing for almost a year but its very simple and at least 2 or 3 times per week i have a call with employee from ForTrade he is trading menager or whatever he gives me news in world lets say new natural gas regulations bc of australia strike and things like that. I focus on gold,oil and natural gas mostly but is that a scam as a platform. As i said ForTrade is so simple and there is no complicating things on platfrom like these u but in video so can u help me about this thinking?

Hi Angelo, on IB I am not getting the cheaper fees charge like you, example for €1000 and following exactly how you buy VWCE the cost is €5.62, I have tiered pricing ticked, it seems I am being charged extra exchange fees, it must be cause I am not buying on Gettex exchange? Is it because I am not in Germany? Not sure what I am doing wrong, the only difference I see is you have Realtime price consolidated appearing when you buy and I have delayed data? Maybe someone can help, thanks

Hi, Angelo. Great Video! Can you kindly elaborate on the "delayed data" on Interactive Brokers? When I try to follow your video and place a Buy order I have this delayed data icon, which you do not seem to have and it appears that if you wish to see real-time prices you need to subscribe to it. I don't know if this is related to the fact that I also see on the "Preview" that the fee transaction is between 1.31 and 35 Euros (namely 1% of the investment). How come it is that expensive? I live in German and the max fees should be 29 Euros. it seems that the high max fees are appearing only when I am buying fractional shares of VWCE as opposed to not. are you familiar with that? Is that true or am I missing something? Thanks

Thanks for video :) I've just made an account on IB. I also use XTB, they have 0 fees and a simple interface, but I choose to have IB for diversification

Hi Angelo, this video is very informative, thanks. Do you know what is the insured amount with both brokers(in case of bancruptcy). As far as I know flatex insure up to 100k€ due to their banking license, is it the same with IBKR?

Hi Angelo, great work on thje channel. I have a quick question regarding IB for us Europeans. Should we be subcrsibing to Market Data? and if so, which ones do we need? All I do is invest in the VWCE once per month. Also, I noticed that in your videos you buy full shares and leave money in the account rather than buy fractional shares. Is there a reason why you don´t buy fractional shares? I want to just make a recurring order of 250€ per month to begin with. Keep up the fantastic work!

I have read online that IB-IE only protections up to 20k Euro in case of bankruptcy, whereas IB-CE protects up to 100K Euro? Thanks!
