I hate Joe’s tone
ОтветитьI have such respect for Joe Bonamassa as a professional! His concern for his audience is admirable!
ОтветитьTone = higher action+ heavier strings.
ОтветитьI got a mint 1 of 1000 JB Way Huge Doubleland Special (a dual tube screamer) for a good deal about 4 years ago. Last I checked they are going for $400-$500. One day it may be Klon prices…? lol!
ОтветитьI really appreciate Joes rare brand of wit and humor.
Also I like his intelligence.
Thanks for this excellent content.
Great job.
I’m hoping you continue to provide that 2 to 21/2 hours of escape! I’m captivated watching Joe have fun playing from the great collection he has!!!
Great appreciation for Joe , singer, songwriter and his “ instrument “ of choice!!!!
Keep the Joy of the blues/Rock coming !!! I’ll be there! Feeds /inspires my soul !
too many "you know's" from both 😑
ОтветитьMan, this man inspires nothing other than absolute respect. What a great person, so many music yes... But also deep life lessons.
ОтветитьFascinating interview, thanks.
ОтветитьThese videos are great!
ОтветитьBought my TS10 used for $25 maybe 30 years ago and my Klon brand new for $350 when it was released. Still have both of them.
ОтветитьI’d like to have a dollar for every time Joe played those same repetitive pentatonic licks lol I’d have enough to buy a real 59 les paul.
I’m guilty as well. I’m a copy Kat as well.
Joes music vocabulary comes from everyone else he’s listen to him. Like many. You don’t win Grammy’s playing other people’s shit. ✌️
The problem is we don't hear either guitar playing any thing, they are just yapping yapping yapping about stuff most of us don't know what the hell they are talking about.
ОтветитьThat's how great musicians talk - no BS driftwood.
ОтветитьWhat a GREAT informative interview ! It is really neat to see & hear Joe's passion and his absolute comfort & willingness ot share useful information for us. BRAVO to both the interviewer and Joe for this one !
ОтветитьI like listening to Joe talk, he's right he gives me an Escape from reality.
Ответить"I feel sorry for the kids that would have to pay $5000 for Klons... why shit... I was able to get 5 of them for that!" Sorry folks... nothing "down to earth" about this guy.
ОтветитьWow, hello from Latvia :)
ОтветитьI had a dream.. y'all stoped talking and played some dam guitar. Lol
ОтветитьI love Joe.. he awesome.. he sends me emails everyday.. lol.. i guess he fan of my.. lol.. .. I am use to it... Lol.. well y'all need some wood.. looks good .. I like them basses y'all holding but who put them 6 cables on them dam painted wooden shovels
ОтветитьDear Mr Bonamassa - thank you for being as much of a geek as I am. It's a pleasure to listen to you talk about sound. Over the last 9 years I've done over 100 gigs and so much of your experience is relatable. Especially that one great gig that stands out. It was 4 years ago (and I still have the horn). Thank the gods that I'm not always as good as I can be. It makes me strive.
ОтветитьWhy I always have the feeling, Joe is rushing. For me it sounds as if he‘s micro seconds ahead of the beat. For me it kills 50% of the blues. I‘m just a mediocre self taught bed room noodler, but I hear other guitarists play his songs and they play nicely laid back, and it sounds wonderful. What is wrong with me? Because Joe is actually a very very accomplished player, a real wizzard…. 🤔🤷🏻♂️
ОтветитьI can watch 100 of Joe B’s interviews and I learn something new in every one of them. Masterclass!🙌🏼
ОтветитьWill always respect those who can justify their expenditures that I may see as excessive… my Les Pauls are all less than 5000. I have four of them. But a thousand dollars each for one pedal!?! Wow
ОтветитьI’ve always liked Joe. He’s accomplished so much in his career but is as humble as the day is long.
ОтветитьI love your music and your attitude Joe!!
ОтветитьEnjoyed this conversation 😊
ОтветитьBack in the late 90's I was working with a good sound engineer and was doing recording on some really good sound equipment. The bastard stole ALL my gear and I lost my Fender Princeton, all my effects that I collected since the 80's. My Gibson Les Paul custom SG which was the only thing I got back. The asshole started smoking crack and just disappeared with EVERYTHING. I was at least glad I got my Gibson back, but man was that a real hurt piece. I still never had a better Amp than the Princeton.
ОтветитьI love how honest and grounded Joe is
ОтветитьShould have been an F# for the swearwords!
ОтветитьHumility and mastery ...is a rare combination ...he is imbued of both in abundance .The sun has never failed to rise and shine after many great talents like Joe have retired from the scene ...and until a new talents take their places , it just does not feel as warm.
Ответить"Slow Gin... slow gin... damn I want some crabs man... oh shit solo"!!! lmao
ОтветитьJoe is a better than average guitar player - that’s it - I think he just has some good marketing.
ОтветитьJoe is sure grounded...
ОтветитьThis gentleman is no joke…… he one of the greatest blues musician ever
ОтветитьJB is rock star cool without being a stuck up douche bag. JB, thanks for your music, and your down-to-earth attitude. You play and sing your ass off. Although you're correct: the sun would rise even if you stopped playing, you really matter to a lot of us. Best wishes to you JB.
ОтветитьTone is in the digits not the dollars.
ОтветитьGreat interview 😎👍
ОтветитьLoved it so good to have a chilled chat and enjoy it.
ОтветитьIncredible
ОтветитьI hear a huge difference I got two strats and a tele gotta get a LP or LP jr
ОтветитьI can't afford true vintage gear or their aquivelants. Therefore I've decided to start learning how to build guitars and amps. Mic kits like the U87 are a bargain as well.
ОтветитьI'm not sure why Joe is so 'polarizing'. He's such a nice guy who plays a mean guitar.
ОтветитьWhen you jam like that, unscripted, you are still amazing Joe. I appreciate how hard you've worked, how hard you still work, and that you are clean and sober. A person who truly is someone I would want my child to strive to be like. The icing on the cake is your music. Out of all the guitarists in the world, you are the one I wish I could play and sound like. Thanks for all of that.
ОтветитьI know he needs someone to talk to, but fella with the Custom isn't adding a lot to this.
ОтветитьJoe is a great musician he entertains and educates and helps musicians. He's good man. Thanks Joe B.
ОтветитьAfter many years of swapping pickups I came to the conclusion that modern Gibson pickups like Custombuckers Burstbuckers and 57 classics really are great pickups and realized I actually prefer them to everything I have tried and heard. I went to the Duncan rabbit hole and found they left me cold. I like the raw and somewhat unrefined sound of modern Gibson pickups. They have a rudeness to them that I love and there is something about the Gibson humbucker midrange that just scratch the itch for me .
Ответитьgood guy but crap teacher
ОтветитьNice and inspiring.
