AMD Ryzen 9 3900X vs Intel i9-9900K - CPU Comparison

Had one, but switched to the other because it made me happy.

I think it's going to be the 3900X. Although I grew up with Intel and have that bias, I think the 3900X is better value for money for my workload (visuals, music production, animation, streaming and doing all sorts of tasks simultaneously!).

Both seem like solid options.

im looking to upgrade my pc which one would be better to improve my stream quality?(i livestream on twitch) would it be better to upgrade my gpu? or cpu?

back here to check that, intel is really weak for productivity, but better for gaming

Isit not the case that the 12cores will also give you longer life in terms of future games possibly using the more cores, more efficiently? I never really see many videos state this, maybe I'm wrong..

Okay so to summarize because all this just looks like a bunch of numbers to me, which chip is better for gaming? For example the new Microsoft flight simulator? Which one should I get The Intel? Or the AMD?

How is the CPU affecting FPS this much with the same GPU? I thought the GPU carried most of the workload

I think my choice have changed from intel to amd coz my first priorty in 3d vray and corona then gaming also and it is cheap also no prob with wattages use this coz it has more cores it justify and gaming needs graphic memory more than cpu power i think

For gaming, clear choice, Intel. For workload, AMD. But overall, either side is great.

AMD need a long time til i can trust in it again. Their graphics card drivers are shocking, their last 15 years cpus have also been shocking. While things are looking great again, i'm gonna wait it out for a 2 years, my old i7 4970k is more than enough for me. I hope AMD keeps on this trend, cheaper is better for me.

But can you compare 3970x vs i9 9900k gaming performance its supposed beat Intel in gaming performance from I see from hardware unboxing channel .

720$ Ryzen(with cooler) for me VS 730$ I9 9900k(no cooler), I won't overclock so I won't need a better cooler, Ryzen is mine :))))))))

That's the problem here. The wraith prism is shit and adding that as an advantage makes no sense when you're purchasing a $500 cpu.

Hey guys. I'm thinking about making the switch from my old Intel i7 3770k (3rd Gen) to the Ryzen 9 3900x. I have never used anything other than an Intel processor in the past so I have a few questions before I make the jump. I plan on getting new parts where necessary such as the motherboard, Ram and CPU but keeping my hard drive and PSU. Will all of my programs e.g premiere pro, photoshop, Microsoft office etc work immediately without me having to reinstall everything. Also I have a NZXT Kraken X62 cooler which works with my current 3770k. Will I need a new cooler or will my cooler fit on the latest motherboards from AMD? I apologise for the stupid questions but I have been out of the PC building community for years.

Would there be difference in test results if nvme drive was used in pcie3.0 and 4.0 Mobo respectively?

I'm wondering why I even care regarding rendering speed when I just get up and go do something else while a video is being processed anyways.
