Can anybody tell me how to get the recovery mutation?

Im sure you're aware but in case you arent, if you pair emergency triange with extended healing itll cancel out the healing reduction from emergency.

I think Porcupack is good imo. I once got a Colorless Symmetrical Lance from a Cursed Chest and everytime I roll it deals 11k + damage. Helped me Flawless Time Keeper.

Face Flask/Vengeance enjoyers: angry B tier noises

Sorry if I’m late to the party here, but the Networking mutation (with a Tactics build) is great when fighting the Servants in the Lighthouse as well, especially when you are fighting all 3. I’ve gone into that fight with a Tesla Coil, Wolf Traps, Repeating Crossbow, Barbed Tips, Networking and No Mercy and melted thru them. I love the same build for the Giant. You can get some great synergies going among the weapons and skills, but when the arrows (and the Tesla Coil) start reacting to the Networking mutation I can pretty much just dodge roll through most of the fight.

Probably smart to ditch it for something else before The Queen, though. 🤓

So there's Really no ''Meta Build in this game at all?

Fast ranged weapon + Acrobatipack + gilded Yumi in backpack. Everything gets yeeted, and it’s even stronger (and funnier) in the fractured shrines.

After 2.4-2.7 I would do these changes:
• Ripper (D → C)
• Networking (D → C)
• Soldier Resistance (C → B) [Just a lot of HP]
• Point Blank (B → A)

What are your thoughts on Spite, Counterattack, Necromancy (C); WDKM, Vengeance (B)? Those got significant buffs.

Maybe there is also something that you would want to change that I didn't address?

I like how they instead of nerfing No Mercy, they actually buffed it xD

I use recovery when im using slower weapons that hit hard so i can recover more of the yellow health, sometimes with the flace flask too

I would love a list talking about mutations that go well together, or weapons that love specific mutations. I'm sure I'd know a lot of them, but your experience in this game in invaluable. Seeing how you value things helps me think critically about my own play. It helps me think of how to value things

What situations are appropriate to choose an off-colour mutation? An obvious one is getting Gastro in any build, whether or not you're going green skills. Are there any other good examples?

as for what doesn't kill me, can you leave one enemy alive, and just farm all of your hp back before moving on to the next biome? seems kind of busted. oh wait, i forgot parrying does damage lmao. hmm well, maybe if you're using an off-color shield it could work in the later biomes?

What are the mechanics of health flask mutations? I'm on 1.7 mobile. Eg. If you use emergency triage how is it with gasto? Or similar combos.
Does the slow from the Melee stack with Crow's Foot? Do they stack with slow-if-one-enemy-is-killed weapon affix?
Is Support acticated by the Owl?

Great vid, Vee! I gotta say though, I use tactical retreat on a decent basis. Purely because it takes away having to have the piercing affix on everything. Roll out of the way of one attack and it slows the entire screen, so you don't have to be quite as careful with your crowd control, which I find tactics struggles with in early game. I never use it if I'm using a shield though, so I can safely say it has a niche.

No rank for Gastronomy? I think its S tier just for the damage boost alone. If you can perfect clear a biome, you can get up to 3 five minute damage buffs if you destroy all the food. Whenever I do survival, that is a guaranteed take just for the damage output, especially before bosses.

I really like the idea of barbed tips, even if it is nerfed a little when its released.

Do items in the backpack do anything if you dont have one of the pack mutations? Besides always having an item as backup to switch to.

I just found out from this video that Acceptance has that food drawback.

When I got it I just glanced at its description and assumed it just halved curses.

I've never picked it because I was already somewhat used to taking curses by the time I got it.

I think Porcupack would be an A or S tier if the cooldown was calculated from base attack speed and it performed the combo .

A simple implementation of this for the player could be for the cooldown to "queue" each hit of the combo AND allow it to be performed on the next roll that goes *thru enemies*.

The cooldown that queues the next hit would be based off of the weapons base combo speed. Eliminates the cooldown for faster weapons, lets the slower weapons retain their identity, and itd make most weapons useful.

The "next roll thru enemies" is what triggers the next hit in the combo as opposed to just your next roll. This would allow players to attack, parry, jump, etc. without resetting or interrupting a "backpack combo" while staying away from anything that requires overly complex gameplay (i.e. something like timed rolls).

The reason the other backpacks are good is because they add new gameplay seamlessly for players at any skill level while opening up new gameplay options for more advanced players. I think this would also do that.

Maybe some kind of visual feedback for when the next hit is ready could be added too (like Acrobatipack's reload).

Something that I don’t hear people talk about is that Crow’s feet doesn’t make you visible when you have invisibility active ( from an amulet or smoke bomb ) while another amulet ( dodging drops a bomb or something like that ) does. It’s also EXTREMELY useful against conjunctivius whenever the tentacles pop out because the ones that run from side to side slow down a lot. Even if I’m on a brutality build I take them when going toxic sewers

Kind of an off topic question, but is there something I’m missing with dual binding? Whenever I try it the animations just end up cancelling each other and nothing comes out

What would you do to improve weaker mutations like Ripper or Tactical Retreat?

Nice video Vee! I've been getting a lot of requests to do one of these as well, but as you said, a lot of it depends on different builds and situations. Really stepped it up with the editing on this one, probably took you a while to organize all those images. was surprised you didn't do this one live!
